Trick the girls? Time cycle flop..

I did not get any responce in the indoor forum so i will try here as this may be more of an Advanced question...

Say, Theoretically 2 MJ Plants were grown on an 18/6 light cycle that started at 7AM every morning.

These "Theoretical" plants are now ready to flower. If the ON time was to be changed to 4PM on a 12/12, Would the plants react negitively to this?

Would it be best to give the plants 24 Hours of darkness then flip the settings and continue on that way?

Will this stress the plants out or retard growth or stunt them in anyway? Any suggestions?

give it 24 hours of darkness then flip the 12/12 to the time of day you want them on. they will be fine.
