I will add to the already good advice.
There is almost zero chance you let your other plants go “too long” and “ruined the high”. It takes a very long time and lack of observation or care to let a plant go that long. These plants have harvest windows that last for weeks, not days.
What is far far more likely is that the plants you grew just didn’t have strong genetics or had issues that resulted in less than ideal results. Just because you plant a seed does not mean it will be good weed, even if it came from a good breeder. Genetics are a crap shoot and usually you need to hunt for great plants unless you just get lucky.
