anybody using one of these? I don’t use a machine, only hand trim for me. Thought it might help make an easier decision on when to start trimming?

It's basically the same thing.Looks like a wood moisture tester haha neat but why
It takes the guessing work out and you don't have to judge which plants to start trimming first. When I trim certain strains it's deceiving because I might think it's ready but as I start trimming I can tell it needs to hang a little longer. It shouldn't hurt anybody's wallet for $30.Some new hi-tech gizmo to empty gullible grower's wallets I see.
I trim fresh off the plant and slow dry until I judge when it's time to put the finished buds in cans for burping down the last of the moisture for a few weeks.
Looks like a taser.
actually the only people I have seen use those were in a vid from a very large, very high tech op producing concentrates etc...Some new hi-tech gizmo to empty gullible grower's wallets I see.

Great words of wisdom and even better avatar. I miss the SopranosThe principles of bud suggests to me that anything other than hand-trimming is a detriment to your final product. All of the best quality products in the world are made and finished by hand.
In the context of Afghanistani weed plantations - they tumble the buds to shake off the trichomes to create hash blocks and pollen - since they're not growing UK style skunk. This is traditional weed growing, but naturally, if you're after skunk, why would you ever want to tumble or subject the bud to any form of mechanised process?
Judge the moisture content by weight, eye and feel and set to work on a hand trim for best results - at least that is what I stick too.
ur an idiot its $40Some new hi-tech gizmo to empty gullible grower's wallets I see.

and wen curing then packaging moisture content has to be exact curing stop when moisture is below 11% 58-59 % RH 66%RH is perfect for curing
curing takes place in aerobic environment where microbes eat chlorophyl and sugars dry ass herb is what happen when u guess ,, or stem snaps all fine but why not use science to get best results
how do u tell moisture in jars guess fucking magician u are i assume , u must smoke told ass bud b yt the heater u cheap cock or do the LOD loss on drying method to treat moisture
u need to know exact moisture levels to determine thc % accurately when using any form of GC_MS unit to have accurate labels
