Trimming fan leaves -

Huge fan leaves are shielding all of the side stem growth of my plants. What do you guys think of trimming out the larger fan leaves to allow my MH lamp to better hit the new stems?

don't trim unless at least 50% of the leaf is dead, in order to get the light past it just tuck it under or behind the new bud sites, or branch that has them.

With MH lighting, chopping fan leaves won't help. Cutting fan leaves works for CFL growers because CFL lights don't have the intensity to penetrate as deep so clearing out fan leaves improves light pen.
