Trimming Help

I just harvested my first white widow grow and they're hung up on their second day of drying. I'm second guessing myself on the trimming though. I cut all the big fan leaves off and like 3/4 of the leaf on the sugar leaves off because I was really worried about cutting any of the buds. Should there not be any leaves at all in it or what?

This is how I trimmed

those will be great. what i do is take of all fan leaves, then on the littler (suger) leaves i just cut the tips off. then hang, then do a second trim cleaning up the buds.
i find leaving more of the suger leaves allows the bud to shrink less.

when i harvest i like to cut the big leaves off then hang to dry. after the buds have dried i then trim the smaller leaves they are usually crispier than the bud. i find this gives me nicely manicured buds and high quality trim i use for hash or butter.

I would've like to give it a few more days too but I had to take it down a tad early because of scheduling trips and being away and not being able to finish drying and etc. etc. etc... One plant was like 20% amber 80%milky and the other was mostly milky trichromes so I guess it's going to be mostly a headyish high from what I've read about trichrome color indications. No couchlock for me.

I cackled at the rimjob implication. You wouldn't happen to be high by any chance? lol.
