Trimming options . . .

I've always hand-trimmed 'wet' but I'm looking to go automated.

What's the easiest/most popular? Trimming dry or wet?

Can anyone recommend an automatic trimmer that doesn't cost $7k!?!

Just got myself on the pre order list for BatchOne Go from Twister. Looks dope and only runs you around 2K.

I always dry trim. It seems to keep the smell and taste much better IMO.

Not what you are looking for but just a thought. We still spend a LOT of time trimming but these things really help me out. I have 4 of them and can do a decent job trimming dry buds. each bucket does a QP in about 3 to 5 minutes. I dry and trim off all water / fan leaves then spin. Some touch up is required.

Getting ready to try out the pastry brush/bud brush method. Probably slower than a machine, but looks better than hand trimming.

I have never heard positive reviews on cheap trimming machine.

I have this:

It was $330 when I got it 16 months ago. It's currently listed as "unavailable", so they may have discontinued this model.

It's built like a tank. It looks and feels very solid. I use it for wet trimming only, although it includes a different grate to use for dry trimming.

It's a huge time saver and does a good job of trimming, but it does beat the crap out of the buds. If you look at them under magnification afterward, you can see that a lot of the trichomes are damaged. I don't mind that. I grow for personal use only and I recover the damaged trichomes by scraping them off the silicone "fingers" and the grate after all the trimming is done. It's the equivalent of finger hash.

I'd estimate that it reduces my trimming time by 75%.

I see a number of 1-star reviews on Amazon. I have to think that those people are doing something wrong. In my experience, it's very simple to use and does a good job. Again, I've only done wet trimming with it.
