Trimming Weed in the Emerald Triangle?

What's up people? New user here (in more than one way lol), and I was wondering if you guys had any info on weed trimming work in north Cali. I'm going to be embarking on some travels within the next few months, planning on heading to Colorado to try to find some seasonal work at a ski resort (though I might miss it this season depending on when I get my new vehicle) as well as other forms of seasonal work. While searching on the internet for other ideas for seasonal work I came across this article http://blog.theholidaze.com/2012/05/california-cannabis-culture/ in which he talked about trimming weed for a season. I tried contacting the author but he failed to reply (which I understand as I believe he was getting flooded with questions very similar to mine and just got fed up lol). So I thought I would reach out to the RollItUp community and see if y'all had any more useful info pertaining to finding this work, where to start, personal experiences, etc. Thanks in advance guys.

(P.S. If this thread was inappropriately placed I apologize)

Trimming isn't the type of job where you drop résumés off, call guys, or show up at the job site and get hired. You gotta be "IN" and if your not "IN" or good buddies with someone who is, chances are you never will be...

Yeah, you're probably right. I'm guessing my best bet would to make more friends that are "IN." Have you ever been a trimmer yourself?

Not in Northern California. I trim once or twice a week with a group of guys locally. And its more than enough to support myself on. We get paid by the hour though not by the pound.

I suppose you're doing wet trimming then right? Damn, wish I was in your position lol. I'm sure I can get into the loop though, I've always been pretty good at getting my foot in the door. I guess I'll find out one way or the other lol. Thanks for the input though PKH.

Here's a good way to break into the scene up here... start frequenting any and all reggae, dancehall, bluegrass concerts, esp. festivals, and try to meet some new people. I know a girl who comes from a super wealthy Northeastern family and moved out to Northern California with just the same intentions. She's had two babies by two different Rastafarians and she hasn't been here more than a few years. Just don't be a "massey."
