Trimming While Flowering

Thank you everybody.

When in flower, can I assume the plant gets most of it's photosynthetic energy from the Bud leaves and less from the Fan leaves?
-making it ok to remove fan leaves from the canopy.

She might be too far into flowering.. just take 5% each week and pinch off any popcorn buds but just @5%

I thought you were asking about small buds down low? Best bet when learning is to keep your fan leaves on unless they completely turn yellow or become necrotic. Leaves are the life of the plant do not rely on bud alone for photosynthesis you will be very disappointed.

Thanks Phunt. I've been trying to go buy a rule of thirds that I was told about. One third stalk, one third fan leaves, one third buds.

Some of the larger leaves coming out of the top buds are shadowing some of the lower buds that I think could grow well.

Maybe I just need to stake them better to allow light through the canopy.
