Naturally you can trim with just about any scissors but I think these kick ass for 2 reasons:
When you have a lot to trim the spring loaded scissors can't be beat. I HATE the type of scissor that you need to put your hand in the holes to open.
Second, these have a fine point so you can get deep inside the bud (without disturbing the tricks too much) to remove any leaf embedded. I found mine at Staples and Office Depot and have 4 pairs for my "trimming party". .
