Surely, they would need a warrant for such a thing? If this is the case then the same can be said for my country.Awhile ago I read an article about the Cops in Van/BC being able to go through power consumption records and checking residences where power usages are high. Not the kinda place *I* wanna be!
It's a build-up of things. Even somebody grassing you up doesn't get your door booted open. This just gives the police reason to hunt for evidence, the power company is a good place to start. The police need quite a bit of evidence before they can come and get you.
