I usually buy fems from nirvana. Last Dec. they gave 10 free w/ order. 9 popped, which I thought was great. bout 2nd week of flower 3 males a few days later 3 more. I have 3 girls left. One thing I noticed is there are several inches between nodes. All my past grows( 6 OR 7) they would only be about 1/2 in. to an inch apart. I have lst and supercropped this to slow it down, plus they were topped about halfway through veg. I guess my question would be, has anyone ever seen plants like this before?

Here are the details
Started popped seedling in 2 liter bottle. fox farm happy frog soil, Veg for 4 or 5 weeks, bout 2 ft. tall
Started feeding half strength fox farm nutes about week 2. (big grow) (big bloom) (cal mag) (thrive)
Transplanted week 5 into 12 gal. pots using fox farm ocean forest soil waited a few days for transplant shock to subside, then switch to 12/12...First two weeks nothing but water, no set schedule on water, give it to them when they need it. soil has enough nutes for week or two. After 2 weeks full strength feeding (big bloom) (tiger bloom) (thrive) (cal mag) (molasses). My 600 watt is at the top of it's 8 ft ceiling. Hope I got all the info. I don't have much of a schedule on how long in different stages. Don't keep exact dates. when it's done its done.

Light has been on top of them for veg. using T5 for veg. always 2 in. above plant. So far during flower, 6oo watt has been kept at about a foot above tallest plant. Been raising it gradually, it is now at the highest point. That's as close as I can get without burning. They were free seeds with a nirvana order. So I'm guessing just bad genetic's. Thanks all for replies

its just too far away... use a PK load like bushmaster or bud blood, to keep your newly flowering plants from stretching to the ceiling. tip of the pros my friend.

$100 hortilux bulb. Used it last grow everything went fine. I have 2 more older ones for backups, I will switch them and see if change, Ty king, I will give that a try. Been super croppin them to stop height seems to be working a little. Nodes went from 5 in. apart to 1/2 in. to an inch on upper branches, gets good growth right after the supercrop. I will never put the time and effort into free seeds again. This is the ugliest grow yet. From now on only fems. My last grow was my first auto's and they turned out great. Best as far as buzz goes. So whatever some say about auto's being less on potentcy,,, I'm ripped

Looks very sativa and heat stressed, which would explain what you got going on there. If your light is also too high....

As everyone has said, it is light and probably genetics. HPS should be about 12-18" over the canopy for a 600w depending how warm it gets. If the plants r say 4 feet and the light is at 8 ft then this is clearly your problem. The plants want more light so they are stretching like crazy to get it. Is your temp over 85 degrees?

I have the light at 15 in. now. My box is 8' Consider the light and holder above. take about 15" off that 8'. And then my pots are about 14" high , plants about 4' high,,,, add that together and you have about 15" of space. I have a 2" raised wire platform they sit on for drainage.
Light has never been higher than 12" except for the last week or so, a few days before I started this thread I moved to it's highest point, now about 15" from tops. Got tired of moving it every few days. Temps are kept at about 78 to 80. Did have a time or two where electric went out for a min. or two. for got to check on them and light came back on and air conditioner didn't. Got to 109 in that sucker.

UPDATE:::RUNNING TEMP AT 74-80, HAS GOT UP THERE A FEW TIMES WHEN AIR FAILED TO KICK ON, OR I TURNED OFF DURING DARK HOUR AND FORGOT TO TURN ON AT FIRST LIGHT. OTHER THAN THAT I HAVE GROWN LIKE THE REST. THESE STRINGY THINGS ARE TURNING OUT REAL GOOD. LOOKING FOR AT LEAST 4OZ. A PLANT. HARD TO TELL IN PICS, BUT I'M GETTING A TON OF BUD GROWTH. THINKING 3 TO 4 WEEKS LEFT. TRYING TO UPLOAD PICS, WONT POP UP TO BROWSE COMPUTER.
