My mother died at that hospital a little over 2 years ago. After being admitted on a Monday she laid up there in a bed for 5 days before they finally decided to do surgery and she never woke up after surgery. Didn't find out till later that her intestines had been perforated several weeks prior during surgery and they repaired the damage during her original surgery but the repair had become infected and she died from sepsis.
We never knew that the damage had been done to her intestines till several weeks after her death . They eventually admitted that they were at fault and a settlement was reached and money was awarded to her estate. But the fact that she was in their care the final week of her life and no one bothered to check her for that problem for me was inexcusable. I can assure you that I'll never let them operate on me.
