Trouble with Seeds In Soil That Haven't Sprouted. Humidity? Temp?

I have three seeds in solo cups under light and they haven’t showed signs of sprouting whatsoever. They have been under the light 24/7 for about 3 days. I fully watered all cups before planting the seeds but it seems like the top layer of soil in all three cups have become very dry and I fear that it has become a major issue. I’ve been spraying the top layer with water but it seems like it dries out a short time later. The temp under the light is always between 78 and 84 degrees with the humidity always being around 16%. I’ve soaked the seeds in water 24 hours before planting and the soil I’m using is Fox Farm Ocean Forest. Is the temperature too hot? Is the humidity too low? Is using Saran wrap to create a humidity dome a bad idea? ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED!

How long did you soak for? Did you see the taproot? Or did the seed drop to the bottom?

If not then probably planted too early..

You should get a humidity dome... Humidity needs to be high at this stage and I go for a temp between 22c-27c

Don't over water you will drowned the seed

I soaked the seeds for 36 hours and didn't see a taproot on any of the three seeds. All three seeds did sink to the bottom of the shot glass. If I planted too early then does that mean none of the seeds will sprout?

They still could don't rush, could take as long as 10 days, try get humidity up and try not to over do watering

Don't let them dry out. You won't drown them if you have good drainage. You can put saran wrap over them until they pop if needed. Just be sure to take it off right away when they sprout.

If the ten days are up with no sprout should I dig up the seed and force crack?

May just be me but i never had any luck with seeds with FFOF
i use the paper towel way and put in promix
still wait the 10 days before doing anything

Anyone else have problems with seeds in Fox Farm Ocean Forest? Should I switch to Light Warrior on my next round of seeds?

The reason why canna growers old and young soak their seed to germ point, is to avoid all this, its important to know that your seeds WILL grow, thats why one soaks the seed in clean water for 8 hours overnite then another 8 hours or so on a damp towel, just to allow the little penis to stick out,once about half an inch long ...gently put in a little hole in your soil. water carefully ..keep warm

..right now you may continue biting your nails waiting for growth, or you can dig them up wash gently in warm water 25c/77f then to the damp towel for 2-3 days...but keep damp and warm, again once you have positive growth potup

FFOF is a great mix but 'hot' so add 33% perlite to keep them happy

Ok. so your saying dig them up and put into moist paper towel at the temperature above for two or three days then replant? Or give it about ten days and if no sign of growth then dig up?

if it only been 3 days wait may take up to 10 days to pop up

Imo straight to medium is most effective, there's allwAys going to be the odd seed that won't germ that's just life. 21c in my experience is best for Germ. I wouldn't worry about humidity too much until they sprout, obviously if the low humidity is making the soil dry out too quick then you need t up it.Go off the weight of the cup. There's moisture in the soil which the first roots can get at as soon as they're there. When in soil I think 2 clear plastic cups make a good pot/ humidity dome.

is 84 degrees F a little hot for seeds trying to sprout?

This is day 6 since planting in soil which is ffof and it looks a little sick bcuz of the slow growth of the first true leaves. can anyone tell me what's going on. I have 4 23 watt cfls on her and a fan lightly blowing
