True Stoners First Grow Journal!!

Ok so i finally have the room built, its small...6 feet high 4 feet wide 3 feet deep covered top to bottom in 4mm mylar (except the floor). Im using 4 CFL's right now for the seedling. I have 6 but need a socket as i dont have any more. I have a 600 watt HPS light for when they are ready. Its air cooled and im in the process of buying an 8 inch inline fan for the light exhaust. I also will be buying a 6 inch inline fan/filter for the smell hen they get bigger. Right now im waiting for my 7 plants to sprout. Im using ProMix soil from the hydroponics shop. I didnt germinate them, i just put the seed in point down..(at lease i think it was the right end) and watered them with phed water. I dont have a meter yet but my city water is 7.0 and the guy from the shop stated that i fill up a 20 gallon pail , let it sit over night and add a cap and a half of Ph down and it should be in a decent range. In my resovour as i have a little one for nute mixing before i give it to my babies, i have a 12 inch air stone hooked up to my air pump. I also have a liquid called "Hydro Strive". I believe its for my seedlings. Do i give it to them when they first sprout or what?? I have my 7 babies sitting in styrofoam cups with holes in the bottom for drainage and they are sitting in a cake pan on my heat mat. They are Feminized NYC Deisel. I also have Hindu Kush and Space Bomb but they are for a differant grow. I have my mats temp set to 70 F and right now my room temp is at 71 F. I dont even have a fan going yet as i only have the oscalatting fan thats sitting on the floor. Im going to turn on that fan once i see some sprouting. I have right now 4 vent holes cut out of the walls. I will be using 2 for my lights air intake and exhaust and i have a 1 vent for air intake at the bottom of the wall and above that near the top of the room i have a 6 inch hole cut out for my odour control fan. Im also buying a fan speed controller. All the holes for the fans have no fans in them so its getting some air vent now. Man its expensive setting this shit up but im sick of smoking crappy bud here. I hope all goes well. Money really isnt an issue but soon will be as my work is seasonal and its coming to an end !! Ill keep ya's all posted on my progress. Also i cant add pics for some reason!!

Ok so day #2. just turned on the CFL's and man is it nice and warm in that room. Its warmer then my friggin bedroom as its in teh basement as well. The temp reads at 75F. The heat mat is atthe same temp. It looks like the soil is still moist from yesterday!! I hopefully will get a good PH meter and a inline fan today!! No sprouts yet!!! What temp should my water be in my resovour?? Thanks

ok so day 5 and we have 2 of the 7 seeds have sprouted and are on a heat mat in a humidity dome. What should i do just leave them under the dome or take the dome off now for abit??

so what i was just used a spray bottle and sprayed the soil again and sprayed water on the inside of the dome and put dome back on!! Thats fine isnt? Thanks

Take the dome off once they sprout/show green. Don't overfeed... wait till it gets pretty dry but not completely. Let roots get established before adding ferts. GL

So finally its been day 6 or 7 but i finally have 4 sprouts out of the 7 so what i did was put them under the 600 watt HPS since the amount of CFLs i was using was only 110watts. That just doesnt cut it for 4 plants let alone 7!!! Well hopefully in a couple of days we will see some more growth!! I still need an inline fan for the lights to keep them cool. The location of my room is in a cold place so the temp outside of the room is about 65-67F. I just turned the heat mat down to 70F and put a humidity dome on them for a couple of hours. I did mist the sprouts and the inside of teh dome so hopefully all goes well.

HOLY SHIT i just went and checked the babies temp befoere leaving and it was 95F in the friggin room. i shut off the heat mat and i put another oscilatting fan in there blowing out the air from the room. Problem is i have 2 kids here and 3 dogs and the dogs cages are in the basement and i have to leave the door open for that room to air it out so now i have to redesign this for now untilli can get a proper inline fan there!!!

I have the temp under control for now, it ranges from 77-79F and i have the issue worked out temp untill i get that friggin inline fan for the light!!

Ok so its been almost 10 days now and only 4 seeds have sprouted out of the promix so now im going to keep the other 3 that didnt sprout just incase but no i have the other 2 NYC diesel feminized seeds soaking in some PH'ed water and it has Hydro Thrive in it as well. I also have 3 Subcool seeds soaking in same solution but these babies are not feminized and they are called Space Bomb!!Its a mixed strain of indica and sativa! The other sprouts are looking good and hopefully healthy. I have to post some pics soon! Why havent the other bitches sprouted yet. They are watered every 3 days and i dont soak them either. It looks like the perlite or what ever the white things are in teh promix are turning yellow..is that from that 600 HPS light ..thanks

Ok so i bought a new inline fan today a 6 incher and man does it ever make a differance!! I also planted my 4 Hindu Kush's as well. So now i have 5 NYC Diesel, 4 Hindu Kush and 3 Space Bomb strains!! I also have picked up a fan controller as well!!! What a great investment!!

Ok so update for those reading along..no pics untill the end!! Thats the suprise for u and me..LOL, anyways the NYC Diesel are doing great and are moving along nicely. I have Space Bomb already a coiple inches high and the Hindu Kush is also a couple inches high as well and are doing nice. Some leaves on the NYCD are a little wierd but are doing great. I started ferts to early with these and they went all fubared and now they are fine. My bro also gave me some bagseed plants that have been vegged for a couple months but are skinny and looking skanky due to his lack of being able to supply the proper enviroment!! I pulled one of his already since it was showing little balls!! Well thats all folks, stayed tuned and stoned!! LOL

Ok peeps its been awhile since i left an update progress report. So im down to 10 ladies as i had some males and i also ended up with a hermie. I chopped these down and im using the product for oil or something. Any how these are 2 weeks into flower and the issue here is i took 3 of my brothers plants as he couldnt supply the love for them as he has no money and lives with my mom so his plants were about 2 months older then mine so of cousrse these are budding nicly and i have no idea what kind of strain it is. Right now i was using just a 600 watt hps with an air cooled hood with a digital ballast and went and bought a normal 1000 watt hps from my local store and i got it on sale as it was used. Well i brought it back home and it kept blowing breakers on me so i took it back and they tested it and it blew there breaker as well. Got my money back as i couldnt afford a new one. Well i thought i was stuck with 10 plants that are under a 600 watt hps only and the issue was that my bro's 3 plants are about 4 feet tall and mine were about 2 and ahlf feet tall. Well i took 2 nice plants out to use for mothers. I tooka NYC Diesel and a Space Bomb. That brought me down to 8 under a 600 watt hps , i was looking in Kijiji and seen a 400 watt digital hps light and was able to get it for $180. I now have that hooked up and have 2 plants and a clone under that and 6 under my 600 watt hps. I plan on cutting clones from my moms about 4 weeks before harvest and im going to put the 2 plants back under the 600 watt and use the 400 watt to veg out my clones, so when as soon as im done harvesting i can just throw my clones into flower. Im using for veg...Advanced Nutrients Sensi-Grow, Advanced Nutrients Carboload, Advanced Nutrients Sensizym & Super Thrive. For flowering im using Advanced Nutrients Sensi-Bloom, Massive (bloom stimulator), Advanced Nutrients Carboload, Advanced Nutrients Sensizym and Aussie Tonic!! In my process i had 2 males and tried to use the pollin to pollinate my female clone i have. Well ill keep you's posted. Thanks for looking!! Pics are from beginning to now....
