I think I found the article that has that chart. It points out that convictions for these charges do not carry a minimum sentence.

That said, convictions for the obstruction cases Jack Smith is prosecuting “routinely carry significant sentences.”

If you look at Trump's behavior lately, one can imagine what the DC trial will look like this spring or summer, has the stay been removed, if not why? When one considers when this might happen to Donald in the run up to the election with the nomination in the bag...

With all the twisty ways things have evolved, I cannot. Imo his behavior has been nuttier than squirrel poo from when I started paying attention a few years ago. And he is still exerting remarkable influence on many of the people elected to govern.

So imo “six-five an’ pickm”

Not even MAD magazine or the Onion could have come up with the present scenario, it literally staggers the imagination.

Ok ok. I’m not a hard core trump guy by no means. I would have voted for Vivek. I like his ideas. But let’s get real. I’m the working class all the politicians talk bout but never do anything to help. Family’s that actually struggle. My family doesn’t get government cheese, we make just over the limit so again, no help. Then when my kids get ready for college, can’t qualify for those nice government loans because there mom and I are still married so we make too much together. ( which ain’t shit). Pay property tax, sales tax, gas tax, they tax my pay check, I win a race at the track, pay tax. So yea, I pay my tax proudly. I don’t want to see my money wasted going to the endless wars. I rather it help the mentally I’ll in this country like you stated earlier bout the crime rates. Normally people don’t want to crime.
He certainly had one idea that while completely impractical would make me feel all warm and fuzzy if MAGA somehow prevails.

I can't see how anyone would want to support a Man that all he say's is ME ME ME, and our current President being Raked over the coals and not one word about how they are out to get me.
Ya see Those who want Chaos are the ones who want the United States to Fail. They can say all they want to about how this and how that, but the Truth be told all they want is Chaos and Mayhem. What Else is it then ?

Perhaps because they’re being told that anyone not maga is effectively an agent of Satan creating the chaos and mayhem. To them, “the real America” of white male evengelical heterosexual supremacy is under attack — by “the radical left”, sexual perverts (which is what gays, trans, even feminists are to them), and environmentalists who correctly push back against a pseudolibertarian trashing of the planet for a few dollars more.

Ya gotta really look at the depth, intensity and success of disinformation being propagated by Murdochs, Vladolf, Skum, P01135809 and other real and pretend billionaires.

I can see why they are upset, since they will be paying for it! They will be even more upset in a few days when Ergoron cleans him out. The settlement from the capitol hill cops will be fantastic! So, the magats had better be prepared to financially support their $10 billion dollar hero. Goodluck with the GOP getting any of the cash except to primary them.

What red states will vote to pay Trump's legal bills Florida already tried...

Trump targets New York judge, AG as civil fraud case verdict looms
Former President Trump targeted the judge and New York attorney general in a series of social media posts on Sunday as he awaits the verdict of his civil fraud case that could bar him from ever doing business in the state again.

Trump, in his posts, reiterated his defenses in the case, saying the New York case was a “witch hunt,” that his company made “only success and profits,” and pointing to the “100% Disclaimer and Non-reliance Clause, stating CLEARLY that the reader must do their own analysis and due-diligence.”

Trump also called for the federal courts to intervene in the case.

“It is a great company that has been slandered and maligned by this politically motivated Witch Hunt. It is very unfair, and I call for help from the highest Courts in New York State, or the Federal System, to intercede. THIS IS NOT AMERICA!”

In his posts, he took issue with the confidence that he said New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) exhibited in the courtroom, calling her “corrupt” and saying she “sat comfortably and confidently in Court with her shoes off, arms folded, a Starbucks Coffee, and a BIG smile on her face,” adding, without evidence, “JUST LIKE SHE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT THE DECISION WILL BE!”

Trump called the case “rigged” and a “hoax” and said the state’s closing argument was “pathetic.”

He criticized Judge Arthur Engoron, a frequent target of Trump’s throughout the trial, saying he’s been “badly influenced.” He also seemed to try to encourage Engoron to produce a favorable ruling.

“Hopefully, Judge Engoron, who should have never taken this NON JURY Trial, or should have dismissed it long ago, will show that the New York State Judicial System is ALIVE, RESPECTED, AND WELL. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

The social media posts came after closing arguments in Trump’s civil fraud trial in New York concluded on Thursday. Engoron, who is overseeing the bench trial with no jury, will be the sole decider of the case. He indicated Thursday that he hopes to make a decision by Jan. 31, but said that date was not a “guarantee.”

James has asked Engoron to force Trump to pay a nearly $370 million penalty for falsely altering his net worth on key financial statements to receive tax and insurance benefits. The state is also asking the judge to bar the former president from New York’s real estate business for life.

Donald is facing many future judges, the appeals court and the SCOTUS, attacking them all will be exhausting! Those future judges are watching this all play out and will have ways to counter Trump, he's just another mobster and criminal. All the cases are slam dunks and almost all the witnesses against him are republicans. The magats defending Trump in the coffee shops of America will have an increasingly heavy burden to bear...

They need to stop treating that man’s social media seizures as newsworthy. They are deliberately feeding the troll king.

Also, since he clearly will not desist despite more than one court telling him so in no uncertain terms, detention pending trial rather recommends itself imo.

NY Judge in Trump Case Had 'Insane' Conflict of Interest
Donald Trump’s legal team will reportedly use an “insane” and previously unknown “conflict of interest” between E. Jean Carroll’s lawyer and the judge in her defamation case against the former president as part of a move to toss a whopping $83.3 million jury verdict.

Business commentator Charles Gasparino wrote in the New York Post that Alina Habba — an attorney for the former president — said she was unaware until Saturday that Manhattan federal Judge Lewis Kaplan and Carroll’s lawyer Roberta Kaplan worked together in the early 1990s at the same law firm.

Gasparino wrote it was an unnamed source who told him the judge was once Roberta Kaplan’s “mentor.”

“It was never disclosed. It’s insane and so incestuous,” Habba told Gasparino, insisting neither Lewis Kaplan, 79, nor Roberta Kaplan, 57 — no relation to the judge — disclosed the “conflict of interest” and violation of judicial ethics rules.

Roberta Kaplan worked at Paul, Weiss Rifkin, Wharton & Garrison in Manhattan from 1992 to 2016, then left to become a founding partner of Kaplan Hecker & Fink, her LinkedIn page shows.

“This is news to us,” Haba told Gasparino. “We are going to include this in our appeal and take appropriate measures. The fact it wasn’t disclosed is an ethics violation.”

According to the Post, Roberta Kaplan, during her early years at Paul Weiss, worked as an associate of the firm at the same time as Judge Kaplan, a partner until 1994, was appointed to the federal bench by then-President Bill Clinton.

Zak Sawyer, a rep for Roberta Kaplan, denied any conflict of interests, Gasparino wrote.

“They overlapped for less than two years in the early 1990s at a large law firm when he was a senior partner and she was a junior associate and she never worked for him,” Sawyer told Gasparino.

An ex-Paul Weiss partner, whom Gasparino did not name, said Roberta Kaplan did her best to distinguish herself before the partners, including Lewis Kaplan.
“Lew was like her mentor,” the former partner claimed, Gasparino wrote.

Neither Judge Kaplan nor a rep for Paul Weiss returned calls for comment, he added.

Trump was previously ordered to pay Carroll $5 million in May after a jury found him liable for abusing her inside a Bergdorf Goodman fitting room in 1996.

On Friday, Judge Kaplan presided over the jury award of an $83.3 million to Carroll in Manhattan federal court, after the panel found Trump liable for slandering Carroll in 2019 when he dismissed her sexual assault claims as a “hoax” and called her a “whack job.”

Trump has said he’ll appeal both decisions.
