TRUMP CONVICTED

How is paying off a porn star a violation of an election law? I'm pretty sure extortion to influence a federal election is a federal offense as well.
Also tell me where in the federal law books does it say adultery is a crime?
that isn't what he is being charged for, as you are well aware, by now.
He's being charged for using campaign funds to make that payment, and then cooking his books to hide the fact...AND THAT IS A CRIME. 34 crimes, in fact...

Look up John Edwards...he was keeping a mistress on the side with funny money for political purposes.
That should explain it for you.

Hundreds of thousands are disenfranchised when convicted, mostly in red states I might add and if you can't vote, you can't run for office. Simple enough.
No, it's not that simple...Some stares allow felons to vote, and some don't. Some do after you basically pay a fee to get your rights restored, and some you have to jump through hoops, and you still might never get them restored, depending on your offenses.
However, federal law does not bar a felon from voting, or running for office, even if they are currently incarcerated. Eugene Debs did it the the 1930s, after being locked up for a stupid ass law to basically get him out of the way.

Do you remember Lyndon Larouche running from behind bars in the 80's?

As I said, the issue of a convicted felon doing time on a ballot that he can't vote on might be settled fast in the SCOTUS with Trump and states bar felons from voting who have done their time, much less are serving it. So, keeping Trump off the ballot will be no issue and automatic in a red stare, the redder the more automatic! To change the law and allow felons to vote and run for office would mean franchising millions of black men convicted of felonies to keep them from voting in the first place! So, it might come down to a choice of franchising black people in a red state or not putting Trump on the ballot, a rock and a hard place for many.

I find it an interesting question and conundrum for the right.

trump is a broke ass motherfucker, most of whose "money" is is tied up in bullshit fake valuations...
He owes more than his entire empire is worth, that does not empower a flow of liquid cash...
People don't keep that kind of cash around, even trump, and the quickest place to put his hands on it was through the pac he was running...
then he falsified his records to cover up what he did, which is more felonies....
Broke people don't fly around in planes. Do you know how much fuel a 757 burns per second?

I wonder about one thing. The documents case involves highest levels of classification, with state secrets relating to nuclear capability famously involved.

Is there a way to use a conviction in that instance to invoke the 14th Amendment public-office exclusion?
we all know i ain't a lawyer, but i do not think so...i think it has to be something like the Jan. 6th plot to invoke the 14th...fortunately...there is the Jan. 6th plot to charge him with, and if he is convicted, then game on for the 14th.

about as much as magats keep donating to him....
he's not "broke" like you are...but he is far from as rich as people think he is...most of his "money" isn't real, it's lines of credit from different sources, and they're drying up, as more and more banks refuse to touch him.
That's why he grifts shamelessly, nonstop...He has to, to keep the charade going...
