Some cops are bad, most cops are just doing their job and the good shit they do is massively under reported. If cops didnt have to enforce stupid laws maybe they wouldnt look like such bad guys. They dont make the laws, they just enforce them. The problem is the legislature and the government.

Man. Idk. I agree with some of that. Yes some of the laws they have to enforce are stupid. But they way many of them enforce those laws are stupid too.

Many people do bad things. When they do the cops brag about holding them accountable. When a bad cop does something bad most of those good cops look the other way.

Many more people do good things. When a cop does a good thing someone in the department makes sure to call a news crew and run it on the local news. Other people do good things just for the pleasure of doing good.

And cops always try to justify their mistakes with false appeals to the danger of their work. By that logic we would have to give truck drivers get out of jail free cards. Police work doesn't even crack the top 10.

I don't blame cops for the laws they enforce. But I do blame them for the attitude they have when carrying out the enforcement of those laws. It's horse shit.
