Trump To Turn Himself In

We've had a couple of cynics claim Trump won't be charged or found guilty or be sentenced to serve time. But they based their predictions on the cynical belief that Trump was too well connected to be charged, etc, not on a belief the he was innocent. One of the cynics said it was too minor of a crime to charge Trump with. As if Trump doesn't have to follow the same laws you and I do.

I haven't seen a single post in this thread that claims Trump was innocent of document fraud.
I wouldn’t classify myself a cynic but I believe there’s a strong possibility a Republican president might pardon him.

Are mugshots public record in New York City?

The public can access mugshots under New York's Freedom of Information Law.

You're wrong again. That dot org site you posted is also not in any way affiliated with the State of New York. I don't care if they do or don't post his mugshot but they passed a law in 2020. Many states have done it as well because of those crappy record search websites that you just posted. It's because you can have your mugshot taken and then not be convicted and sites like the one you posted collect those mugshots and then charge people to get them to remove them.

I prefer to look at things objectively and gather all the facts from reliable sources and not just post a link to some scammy pay-per-view record search website. So many of you let emotions guide your thought process. I prefer to go by facts. They might release it and they might not. We'll just have to wait and see. But according to the law there is no specific law enforcement purpose to do so and would constitute an invasion of privacy according to New York law currently in place.

Lets look at actual New York Law from the actual New York State website. I know, actual facts. Some might want to look away and skip this post since facts seem so painful to many.

It was Democrat Governor that pushed for this law.

SECTION 89
General provisions relating to access to records; certain cases

(b) An unwarranted invasion of personal privacy includes, but shall
not be limited to:

viii. disclosure of law enforcement arrest or booking photographs of
an individual, unless public release of such photographs will serve a
specific law enforcement purpose and disclosure is not precluded by any
state or federal laws.

"New York State Police will stop releasing mugshots effective Wednesday afternoon, according to a press release. State lawmakers banned the release of mugshots as a part of the 2020 executive budget, which was approved over the weekend.
The bill, once signed by New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo, will make it illegal to release booking photos for all police agencies in the state. State troopers, as of Wednesday, already stopped the practice."

"The new law allows law enforcement agencies to share photos of individuals taken at booking, also known as mugshots, only when there is a specific law enforcement purpose to do so. For example, these photos could be released if the public can assist police in locating a wanted suspect, finding additional witnesses or victims, or developing new leads in an ongoing investigation. The law is not designed to limit all access to these photos, but instead to protect the privacy rights of individuals involved in the justice system and to allow law enforcement agencies to determine when disclosure is reasonable given the circumstances."

"Broome County District Attorney Steve Cornwell says he agrees with Cuomo that there are issues with mugshot access being abused by websites that post the photos and then demand payment to remove them, but, at the same time "the public needs to be on notice of certain people."

Looks like Donald's bean counter Alan the weasel just changed lawyers, cutting a deal perhaps? Donald should be panicking now and freaking out bigly, they got his mouthpiece, his buddy Pecker and now his bean counter with receipts. If the weasel cut a deal that means a lot more trouble for Trump, lot's more, Alan knows where all the bodies are buried.
theres no way that this might actually work in his favor, somehow and help in the poles in the next election is there

They could release his mug shot to the public to search for other victims to come forward if they recognize this criminal...There's plenty of justification for that. The public funds these jails and they deserve to know who is being charged with crimes in their community. Police transparency and all...

So ya don't think the NY press will get a hold of Donald's mugshot eh, that there is no compelling public interest?

I expected to see Glenn drunk with a party hat on, but I suppose that comes with a conviction, meanwhile there is the blow-by-blow coverage and work to do.

Donald Trump INDICTED! What will happened when he's booked by the police & arraigned by the judge?

An important barrier has been broken: a former president of the United States has been indicted for his crimes. This historic development goes a long way to breathing life into what seemed like a hollow promise - that no persons is above the law.

Here's what now awaits defendant Trump when he is booked by the police and arraigned by the judge.
