Regardless of what he said, I think Ford pardoned Nixon for the sake of the Republican Party, not for the country. Most people in the US at that time were hating on Nixon and Republicans

Imagine being given your own private biz where you call the shots, cover shit up at will, scam the tax code system, buy golden shitters, date porn stars and marry models, leverage the bankruptcy laws, and essentially have very few rules and zero accountability. Then you decide you gotta scratch that itch and trade private biz for public office and all the shifty illegal waving hands shit that used to work doesn’t anymore….rather now in addition to everyone in the room not smiling & nodding…not all the lawyers are on payroll anymore (some even formally turned on you)…in addition there are some pretty serious legal implications being thrown around, some that have teeth. No way will Joe pardon Trump, not gonna happen. You might be right about him croaking before he sees the inside of a cell, the stress would have killed a normal person long ago, being brain dead has its advantages. I think they might have to take him out of a cage in a bag, if he lives long enough. Some state or federal official would have to intervein for him to avoid a regular prison cell, if it's federal, then that means Garland or the head of the dept of prisons. However, before he gets that far he has to deal with a judge(s) and the court process, if he fucks up there the judge could jail him, and inciting violence is a sure way to get locked up, so is ignoring a gag order.

I dunno what Americans are getting their shorts in a knot about, you are only busting an asshole for the first of many crimes, not crucifying Jesus, just indicting Cheeto Jesus. Sure, authorities will make a few preparations, but seriously, this is NY, serious shit happens every day. It's not the end of the world it's just a legal process, like a pardon and he pardoned traitors, nobody got too excited about that. So, unless a prosecutor intervenes and decides not to prosecute (but the grand jury indicted him) or he owns the judge, the process should unfold as it normally does. If Donald incites violence over this shit during trial the judge will put him in jail until conviction or innocence and not even Garland could get him out.
Somehow the word innocence when used referring to Trump seems like an oxymoron, like the headline" Trump innocent. Maybe like a pope, Donald could change his name to "Innocent"!

A republican might commute his sentence, but Meatball Ron won't pardon him, even on his last day of office. He could get better living conditions like they did with Hitler when he was doing time, if a republican was AG, might even build him a golf course, in exchange for an indorsement from his cell. One thing is for sure, if the do put Donald in Prison, Kevin and MTG will be making pilgrimages to the big house on visiting days.

A NY State judge has no jurisdiction in Florida. And like I've said already, NY would still have to get him back to NY for a trial to even happen. That would take a hearing before a Florida Judge and then sign off by desantis. There's no way desantis is going to piss off close to half of the Republican voters. If he beats trump in the primary those trump voters will vote for him but not if he signs a Governors Warrant to extradite trump to NY to stand trial.
People need to slow down and stop talking about jail. That's a long ways of and most likely isn't even going to happen.
Then there's the fact that even if an indictment is returned the Prosecutor might not even proceed. Hell, it's likely that the Biden administration is pressuring the DA not to do anything. The last thing Biden wants is some trump trial dominating the airwaves 24/7 for the next year or more.
