Wouldn't you rather do business where you know you are welcome. Or would you rather do business with a company that is being forced to do business with you? At least you would know who you're dealing with. And I think you're wrong the free-market would certainly take care of those scumbags.

Unfortunately this is not the case.
There's an anti gay cake shop in Colorado that's not going out of business, even though the discrimination case is headed towards the Supreme Court.

This would only be a viable tactic if there were no racists or bigots and unfortunately that is not the case.

muirfield golf club does not allow black people on their golf course and they make MILLIONS of diollars every year.

Here's the thing with that case.... Do you really want them making your cake. If someone has a problem with you for whatever reason do you want to enrichen them your business?

Besides let's be fair here there are plenty of places where whites are not welcome. There's no sign on the door but you know you are not welcome. You don't hear me crying about some new Law being made because I know it won't make any difference and I wouldn't want to go there anyway.
Quit it you would not shop there because you knew they were being forced to accept you. You would walk right across the street to the other store and you know it.

Another is that if we legalise bigotry and racism in business then we might as well just segregate the entire country.

a golf course is a business. muirfield makes millions every year. you said they could not even exist on today's society, much less exist and make millions every year. but they do.

It is also true that if we allow business to be racist we will end up right back in the worst of 1950s segregationism.
A legal punishment to prevent racist/sexist/bigoted businesses from discriminating against people is a good idea. We won't need more cops, the lawsuits will work just fine to drive them out of business.
That's my opinion. Unfortunately, I don't have a seat on the Supreme Court. We'll see what they decide.
