Known some adult heroin addicts in my childhood, none desired to stop, the last one died 6 years ago, still using, rotten legs, sepsis, heart failure. they all died along the years though, shot, hep, stabbed, over dosed, etc, they were parents' friends when I was young. their days were spent healing enough to sham more cash for another do. I felt sorry for them as I aged.
needles floated down the street gutters during rain and I also saw them in my house all the time. never gave it much thought till older.
The cooler addicts had little needle kits and nicer cars, in court more often while the others were slowly dying and sharing needles like some would pass a joint......
the once legal liability of gun manufacturers, sellers for shooting deaths could be compared to opiate manufacturers for opiate deaths, rope makers for suicide hangings too
