What's that mean for Cannabis?
I would think that more taxes will mean that the population of pot heads, that has hugely expanded over the last decade, will be trying their hand at personal grows once the prices+tax at dispensaries, combined with the cost of living, becomes too expensive. So cool, let's bring pot back to having to interact with people to get, or empowering people to provide their own entertainment/medicine.
Here's hoping we don't all get financially hosed though.
Keep rippin' folks bongsmilie

A lot of grow equipment comes from China. Tariffs will raise taxes on a lot that.

All valid points...
But maybe this is what we need in cannabis.

More personal grows...
Less dispensaries
No recreational...

It's a breeding ground for action with all the new pot smokers seeking LEGACY access.

if you listen to Trump and Vance, in my opinion we have the first real chance of it now being rescheduled. That and the Rogan - Musk - Trump connection may help the psychedelic movement substantially.
That's a first...on the Rogan/Musk/Trump thing.
I never thought of that.
I don't see it ...but it could happen.

I know FL failed to legalize...so the Jungle Boys are fucked on the FL location. I wonder how that will play out.

Democrats failed us in 2021. Then Kamala tried to throw it in last minute scrounging for votes

The president doesn't really have much control over re-scheduling drugs and to think that one positive aspect will make up for all the negative ones waiting behind doors 1, 2 and 3 is delusional at best.

The whole world's security is weakened with a 2nd tRump presidency. America's allies do not trust the man as far as they could throw him so will be reluctant to share info as freely as was planned with the transatlantic security alliance in the works.

Just another reason for me to thankful I'm Canadian.

He just won ...so he hasn't been able to show any of his cards yet. But we have 4 years to witness the type of cannabis policy he will unleash.

I'm excited because I think there will be an uptick in the price of cannabis.

That's my point...I was expecting Harris to legalize
So the price would go down...

But with Trump in office...
I expect the typical republican stance to be at hand.
That will affect price in all the prohibition states.
Not to mention 4 more years of anti pot leaving the black market unchecked.

At worse, Trump may undo some legalization an cause the cannabis price to skyrocket. I'm in the black market so I'm already taking risk.

I see 4 more years of Trump as a chance to raise the price on cannabis across the board.
Good years to be a grower
Bad years to be a smoker

I think more states will legalize cannabis recreationally. The shift is happening slowly. I agree with the comment regarding Joe Rogan's influence. He reaches way more people than any news media, and is educating people on the complex history of cannabis. Corrupt propaganda made cannabis illegal, mostly to destroy the hemp industry.

Have you ever seen Refer Madness? Its hilarious! People in that time believed the nonsense in that movie to be factually true!

Hmmmm....Let's see now...

Nixon...I smoked and grew weed

Ford....smoked and grew

Carter...smoked and grew

Reagan....smoked

Bush....smoked

Clinton....smoked

Bush...smoked

Obama...smoked and grew

Trump...smoked and grew

Biden...smoked and grew

Grow it. No need to buy it. Most of the commercial weed is shit, anyway.

Actually Trump was quoted as saying Marijuana laws should be with each state, not the Feds" not sure where or by who, but I remember reading the article. Could have been on Rogans show, who knows.
I just continue to cultivate upon my own!:weed:

I think Canada is going to have a rush on its southern border, lol.

"Even though the federal government says they’re prepared, Desjardins chief economist Jimmy Jean told Global News recently Trump’s potential second term in office would be “much more disruptive” than what a Kamala Harris regime could have seen, and could even lead to a recession in Canada."
