Trump's Republicans vs Hitler's Nazis; it's time to face the truth

Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it- and drag the rest of us with them.

The end of American democracy is upon us. Once the edifice of freedom is on fire, quibbling over who struck the match isn't as important as working together to put out the blaze, yet the conversation on this forum has shown me that even those who consider themselves politically educated and involved are far too willing to fight amongst themselves than work together against the conflagration that's enveloping what's left of our democracy.

The frog in the pot is America and the burner is on high. Everything our grandparents fought WWII to protect from the Fascists of their time is being handed to the very same ideologues today.

Trying to decide what I should have for breakfast. Might just boil a couple of eggs and have a piece of toast. Need to also decide if it will be French roast or house blend for the coffee.
I have some Mt Apo coffee beans. It's night here but I'm going to have some barako coffee with evaporado sweetened condensed milk in the morning. There's actually pretty good coffee here.

Trying to boil water with a frog in it the frog jumps out...throw a frog in boiling water he dies
But if by winning you mean socialist winning primaries with candidates who won't win general election , you are hurting our democracy more than helping
Keep at it and you will be left with Trump types for your lifetime

If you have the time, and some eggs, consider a Dutch baby. The NYT has a good recipe. It's simple to make. Gives you time for a shower while it bakes.

"Give us Bernie or you'll get Trump"

Also, I posted this link earlier. But kudos for not using a RT story.

How do you feel about Gillum accepting money from billionaires who are destroying civilization (sorry, no British affectation today). Does that make him an accessory? Do he not know who "our friends are"?

Agreed and have not had a sip of that since being stationed at Clark AFB.
I would also suggest getting your hand on some beans from the Blue mountains of Jamaica. OMG something about that soil that makes that shit stand out. Best tasting coffee EVER. Awaiting for my wife's kin folk to send us another lb. Ran out about two weeks ago.

  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • Syrup, preserves, confectioners' sugar or cinnamon sugar
PREPARATION
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Combine eggs, flour, milk, sugar and nutmeg in a blender jar and blend until smooth. Batter may also be mixed by hand.
  3. Place butter in a heavy 10-inch skillet or baking dish and place in the oven. As soon as the butter has melted (watch it so it does not burn) add the batter to the pan, return pan to the oven and bake for 20 minutes, until the pancake is puffed and golden. Lower oven temperature to 300 degrees and bake five minutes longer.
  4. Remove pancake from oven, cut into wedges and serve at once topped with syrup, preserves, confectioners' sugar or cinnamon sugar.

That has to be good !!!!! Looks pretty easy to make. I will attempt this weekend. thanks

TTY, you really need to chill out. Sure things suck. Sure that means we need to improve conditions. But what it does not mean is to go all drama queen and yell "Nazis!" Because we are no where near that point at all.

What you fail to realize, and most here too, is the threat of "facism" is just as likely to happen through the actions of a centrist to right leaning Democrat, like Bill Clinton was, who gutted many safety nets and replaced them out of greed with TANF where the T stands for temporary.

Sure someone like Bernie is a step in the right direction, but the fact he owns three houses, proves he not struggling one bit. Which begs the question, how strong is his motivation to keep all those houses and live in perfect weather all year round?

Which means we need to be careful and put in mechanisms that watch over the very one who claims to do activism for "us."

"American fascism cannot happen anymore because the American government is so large and unwieldy. It is simply too hard for the fascists, or for that matter other radical groups, to seize control of. No matter who is elected, the fascists cannot control the bureaucracy, they cannot control all the branches of American government, they cannot control the judiciary, they cannot control semi-independent institutions such as the Federal Reserve, and they cannot control what is sometimes called “the deep state.” The net result is they simply can’t control enough of the modern state to steer it in a fascist direction."

Actually, we are a republic but I get it.

Anyway, if you go back in history and ask where did people get the money to leave England to come here and pioneer the new world against unknown hardship, then look up the BAR Association (and finance), you will see the connection to England.

Now fast forward to WWII and Operation Paperclip, where we smuggled nazi scientists to help us develop the H bomb (and quite likely military higher ups). This put them in key government positions. Now, look up Prescott Bush and the dots should become more like lines

Now go back to England to see that it was conquering/controlling a good portion of the east, but they were too small to control or expand. WE became their military might while the IMF became their financial; muscle: see Confessions of an Economic Hitman (a NYT best seller a couple decades ago)

This sounds like a delicious eggy pancake, maybe even a thick crepe. I would likely ruin it with roasted green Chile's and cheese, mmm.

support clinton and you'll STILL get trump..you know, hillary?..the only person who could fvck up her own cheat.
Very reason why you were to uneducated to understand how to vote in the primary. Hillary is not Trump. The pick for the SCOTUS is prove enough.
