PS giveing a store name may be giving location where someone may live........alot of ppl are hesitant to give to much info............now GET sTONED

Not true. I will tell you where I live. Northern Hemisphere, west of the prime meridian, near a body of water. The name of the store I use is htgsupply, and sometimes ebay. Hopefully that should help.

No she didnt........so many ppl come in threads without reading them just the last page and come up with questions that have been answered........she was being helpful..................if someone is to lazy to read and take that info and go next step of googleing instead of haveing the world handed to em on a plater.......welp what Can I say but damn............lazy ppl are cool though...most times it means they are stoned on thier asses and dont need shit from ppl like me................damn. never mind ignore this post.

Yeah a lot of people do just skip to the end I know I've done it a few times but I did read this one and I wanted a specific store I don't want to pay all the shipping that cone with it and when I tried to Google for the info it only gave me art schools that rent equipment out, and I want to buy. Ignore should of been at the top of the post lol but its ok to stoned to care.

WEst Coast: trevsglass.com
East Coast: mountainglassarts.com
Flea market and lots of sales: abrimagery.com

Those 3 are pretty much where most pipe makers go to get all their stuff, tools and torches and glass........ Anyone there can help you over the phone pick out exactly what you need to try glass blowing........ Bring about $4k to get the right equipment, $2k to do it cheap, and $8k if your a pro give or take.

Thank you very much.

i have the same red maxx as you and paid $500.00 for it. It is still the same price at my local shop.. the red maxx isnt the best torch but you dont need a huge torch to start... trust me. dont start out over your head. my kiln was 420.00 and another 150.00 for the door extension. i have managed to do great with my 1200.00 set up for a year and then I was paying for my new kiln and torch with money I made.. I know everyone on here is a baller but I am not. even if I was i wouldnt spent 4,000 on something I want to try and see if I like. Buy a small torch and a 500.00 NEW kiln and make your money. buying dichro and millis isnt necessary for begginers..

Totally agree with you........ If I had started on the Mirage I would have been very frustrated. Now that I (reasonably) know what I'm doing it's a very capable tool and much faster to work on, but the basics are most definitely a necessity =)

Im sure having a glassblowing boyfriend really helps, and the professionalism of your facility (Glass and Grass) will help you improve tremendously. hands on with a teacher is by far the best way to learn.. I learned from an old VHS "How to make glass water pipes" video and just playing around with glass.. I am impressed on how much you have improved and with a quickness. keep it up and you will be at the female flame off next year..

Thanks but ms kitty stopped making pipes (and dildos, lol) about middle of last summer. Its all me, the Mr. :) But speaking of a female flame off, is that hot to watch or just grandmas and fat chicks? :)

aaah, I skipped a few pages. fuck yeah its hot to watch.. babes in bikinis with huge flames and sweaty bodies. no grandmas or fat chicks... My girl quit blowing after about a year of on and off. Now I am a full time glassblower. unemployment was the reason for that.. now that medical blew up I cant keep up with my orders. I'm about 800 spoons short... it gets crazy..
....still never made a dildo....
