True that fingers, def a hit and miss. The thing that bothers me is that it is a hit or miss situation any time you breed. Anyone can breed without much time and come up with beans. Even the parents were good, then you are going to end up with at least some good beans.

One of the reasons we pay such high prices for beans, some times as high as $10-20 a bean, is so we could get stable genetics, which takes a lot of time and effort to do. Even the high prices are ok if the chances the phenotypes are nice and stabalized.

My point is that it just seems like GHS is not putting in time, and I cannot stand their video with false advertising. I tried their Himalayan, what garbage strain it was.

Still if I had some GHS beans I would still pop them because at the end of the day even if not a lot of time is invested in breeding one could still end up with some bomb phenotypes.

Sorry for blabbing on in your thread. I am testing my Casey Jones at the moment and it is might strong.
 
nah mate. discussion on seeds and breeders is always welcome. i know for sure i get a little overwhelmed by choice when it comes to picking up seeds, and i make mistakes as a result.

there is a thread knocking around with a LOT of info on how GHS strains have come out, and one of them in there was the strawberry haze, that menioened it was like 10g dried weight off the whole plant. i think i have that very pheno, she'#s a waste of space, really is, i wanna go trailerpark boys and just stick a blowtorch to her and get a little mashed :)
 
ive decided that if any plant ive got at all starts lookin kinda poor im gonna veg them till april/may and just take them up the feilds and bury the fuckers, let mother nature do the hard work while i use my time, money and effort on worthwhile plants
 
im with ya there dura im plannin on findin some where nice n quiet to plant the few runts iv got an hopefully get a nice return on them after a few months an if they get nickd its no big loss as id have never flowerd them anyway

I aint impressed with GHS eather wont use em again, got 5 seeds only 2 came through and 1 was just messed up as bad as the elephant man! the one I ended up wiv dont look as good as my skunk #1 for sensi.

plus the bloke who owns it acts like a right d**k

that's the top of my first cheese plant to come out. the other 3 will get a further 2 weeks of flowering as i've nowt to put in there yet

Ouch ... all my plants are from ghs as well, but their are turning out ok.

all i know now, until i try my lemon skunks, is fuck GHS! both strawberry hazes were shite. the sativa one wasn't worth the smoke, it was nasty, probably produced 1/4 an ounce dry, gave you a headache, almost herby smell (pot pouri kinda shite) and gave a gag reflex despite not being harsh, the more indica gave a pretty decent yield, that did very little, so was smoked over a very very short period of time.
 
Ouch, I have a ghs sativa as well that im putting to flower in a couple weeks, arjans haze#1, hope i dont get your same problems:sad:
 
Hey fella. Drying is still a bit of a pain. Got em hung up in the top of my flowering cab in a nice dark area, but they are generally dry after 3-4 days so i'm thinking it's a touch too warm up there, so still ironing it out haha. If it were left to me i'd just chuck em onto a rack and dry them in the middle of the lounge. Damned tennants secrecy bullcrap :p

Currently trying my hand at a scrog and well, i seem to be failing, that or my light is just too close to allow me to grow the stems much before trying to bend em back and such, everything is a work in progress. got a BF Sweettooth popping for a months time, and well, my schedule went to pot, or not to be more accurate.
 
getting a bit tired of cheese after 6 months or whatnot so i have a sweettooth that's about 1/2 foot atm and will be cloned in the morning. My housemate and i chatted last night and it's all dandy, some shit happened but i've kept it all undner control i hope, so now that money is starting to come in i plan on expanding in some way, either a 600w for bigger buds or a second 400w so i can throw another bucket in there (or possibly make a 2 tier grow). Now that everythings good, i don't have to worry about making noise and kafuffle behind closed doors so much. Turns out he's grown 3 times in the apst but each time ended up ahving to shut down because his housemates didn't like it.

So hopefully i can start mixing this shit up, i'll grabs some pictures at some point, i am going to be a bit optimistic and say that this plant might bring in 6-8 ounces, scrogs a good un (how good i'm yet to see though)

Tops of two got rather tall one day and burnt a little on the top which was a bit annoying but i supercropped them of that's the word i'm after and was able to lower the light some more.
