The best way to supress the vibrations is to hang it from some nylon cord or string that is strong enough. It may vibrate the tent frame so see if there is a way to hang something from the ceiling instead from butterfly hook or plant hanger, the long string usually absorbs the vibrations and you can still hear it when close but normally not when your a bit away from it as most of the sound is the vibration not the actual motor. Try rigging something along this thinking, normally covering with shit or burying in padding will smother the air pump and it DOES need to breathe, if you completely smother the motor will burn up and it may be hazard

NO! Not with a DWC setup. If you were to go to a top feed drip systems with rockwool or some other media then yes,.. but NEVER in a DWC setup. NFT setups and DWC setups are great so long as there are no interruptions in power, but the moment there is, you're fucked.

good man :) that's exactly what i've got in mind as like you, it's getting on my tits a little too (although i'm using pumps made by Tetra, and they're reallllly quiet, until they sldie 1cm and vibrate against a pot or something)

its easy m8 just put a towel in a box place the pump on the towel and close the box cut a few holes in it so the air pumps can breathe job done i have 2 outlets on my pump each with 5 metres ov airline on each work perfect with no loss ov pressure

I live in a place where the exhaust window is right next to the next house. However i got good odor control but I do have an 8 inch fan. I put a fountain outside my window in my yard and this is the perfect white noise blanket! I highly recomend. Also i companion plant for smell. Lots of pink jasmine and gardenia. Lol.
