Thanks itsgrowinglikeaweed, it's nice to get the occasional compliment.
And yeah my lights are currently set up about 1 inch from the plants. I'm glad I did a lot of reading on this website or I wouldn't have thought of that already, haha.
Kaleo:
First off thanks for checkin' up on this thread every now and again.
Yeah my soil has those nutes that I described earlier in this thread. But like I also said, I only used about a tenth of what the directions imply. Do you think that would make a difference on how quickly those nutes will get eaten up? If so when then would you suggest I start using the vegging nute I picked out?
Now for another new question, a nutrient question.
These are the specs of the nute I chose for vegging based on what I've read on here:
Spoonit
30-10-10
Total Nitrogen (N).....30%
3.0% Ammoniacal Nitrogen
3.0% Nitrate Nitrogen
24.0% Urea Nitrogen
Available Phosphate (P2O5)........10%
Soluble Potash (K2O).........10%
Iron (Fe).........0.1%
Chelated Iron...0.1%
It's a water soluble nute. I.E. I'm going to mix it in with my water and feed that way. It seems to be the most generally accepted form of soil feeding.
Two questions about this nute:
1) Is this too much nitrogen? Will it burn them when used at 1/4 strength?
2) Is Urea Nitrogen a viable source of nitrogen? I know I've read that Nitrate Nitrogen is the most easily absorbed by the plant, but is Urea Nitrogen still alright to use?
Thanks RIU, you've been a huge help so far!
+Rep for everyone on this thread that I can still give +rep too.
