I need some advice, I have now burned my plants 2x and each time I was using 1/4 strength nutes in soil. I guess I could use some advice on how much to apply on a soil grow. Do I water and afterwards put a little of my 1/4 strength solution on after its saturated or put it on when they are dry and hungry? When I feed them with only the 1/4 strength solution it burns them. But if I add a little after watering they seem to be happy. What am I doing wrong?

How old are the plants?
Soil usually contains nutes for the first 3 or 4 weeks and if you give your babys nutes to early the would get too much mate.

The pH is good, the bottles says 3 tsp per gallon and I put one tsp in a gallon and put it on the plants... I burned them when they were babies about 2 months ago and when I flushed them they came back and I swore off the nutes until they were big and strong. They are big now ( about 2 feet ) and I thought it time to do it again and I watched them every hour and when the tips turned brown a bit (@4 hours later) I flushed the shit out of them. It hasn't gotten any worse so I think they will be ok but I have to understand this better. When I switch to the clones that I will grow soon I will be using the ebb n flow setup with the hydroton pellets and I hope this problem won't be as tricky. Well I appreciate the support and wish this project didn't have to be so hush hush. Thanks again, I would post some pics but all I have is this phone and it won't let me post from it. When I get the computer going I will for sure.

browning tips sounds like a ph problem or they are root bound. Are they hydro nutes? Hydro nutes have to diluted A LOT to be used in soil

They are liquid nutes... and yes I would bet that they are root bound again but what can be done about that? Transplant again?

Next time go with 1/2 teaspoon per gallon. They will get what they need and it shouldn't harm them. When growing in dirt follow the time schedule set out by the instructions.
