China is top 5 HEMP producer/exporter worldwide.........................USA is #1 importer, because we still classify it as a schedule I federally :dunce:. ........ Some US states have wised up and are allowing farmers to plant it i think?

great plant, the major cotton lobby can only hold it off for so long:wink:

For me, it's either the Cree XPE or the Optotech, both are about equal in terms of output per watt used.

Do you think incadecent bulb may be cheeper and better option for Beyond 725nm . They might be even more reliable than those bad Epistar IR's

In this case, it would also make sense to use dimmed incandescents, and theatrics filters. While incandescent has a significantly lower R/FR ratio than the 4000k 80cri spectrum, pure 730nm has significantly lower R/FR than incandescent, basically 0.

Efficiency critical for us. As always we must use Meanwell PFC 90+% efficient power supply to power such incandescent bulb with reliable DC power:o

Is that using the old style Meanwells?

That's the 10A version, I think. 99% efficient (on matched loads).
