Twisted's First Grow

Mate, if you're having trouble lowering your lights, just raise your pots. Get a couple of books or dvds under til they are the distance you want from the bulb to stop that stretch. I've had to do that in my tent, as I left a Northern Lights completely untrained as an experiment, and now she would tower over her sisters by a good foot and half without staging.

Also, when you pot up I'd be inclined to bury most of that long stem. Looks like you're growing in the top of a wardrobe/closet? What's your headroom?

I've got my light down now.

I'm growing on the middle shelf of my closet til she gets bigger then I'll go to a tent/small greenhouse. She has a good 2 1/2 or 3 feet of clearance to the next shelf, but not a lot of room to the sides.

When (if) she recovers from my watering SNAFU, I'm going to start some light LST, and, yeah, I'll probably plant a little deeper next time I move her.

She shot way up early on because my light was way too high, but she's thickening up and getting bushier now.

Seen people have success. If I didn't force myself to leave the NL as she is, she would have been topped or fimmed by now, prime candidate for it.

Now I've decided it looks like N toxicity, which is odd, because I haven't been feeding... she's planted in FFOF with just a little blood meal around the edges, but no added nutrients. I flushed last night when I watered, so I guess I'll see. She did look a little more perky this morning.

I just hope I have completely dicked this up and she'll recover.

Well, I DID completely dick it up apparently... Nellie I died and was cremated a couple weeks ago.

I germed 2 more so if I lost one I wouldn't have lost all that time. Nellie II germed fine, but never broke soil after planting. Nellie III is now growing on the back patio. Another seed will go in water tonight.
