From my experience it could b crowding. Could b too much fan blowing on plants. Is not good to constantly blow directly on plant causing to twist leaves cuz its always moving
Not a pro but that's my experience. Try laying off the fan a tiny lil bit

I would remove the fan too, because it's just extra stress, but I don't think that's whats causing the twisting. Here's a theory; They look overwatered, but in a water culture system that's impossible to control. Superthrive has root hormones in it and causes roots to grow more than they normally would. That extra root growth could be taking up too much water and nutrients for the rather compact and bushy top making it appear overwatered. The fan forcing extra transpiration could be contributing. Those plants are mighty stocky and bushy in shape, I would go under and trim out lower branches and try to bend and spread the tops out to absorb more light. If it doesn't cure the twisting, it will still kick up your final yield! ;)

im not an expert and i dont grow hydro but in soil my experience with twisting leaves and deformed leaves comes from the fertilizer. I have some plants growing in hempy buckets(perlite/ vermiculite mix) and when i gave them a high dose of my general hydroponics solutions the leaves came out deformed and twisted. when i used MG the leaves and plants actually looked better and straightened out.

"very green"?

Are you sure you're not color blind? Seriously the color of those looks like there is a nute def to me. There is very little green and it looks like there might even be some whitening of the veins/stems.

IDK, I hope some pro jumps in to help you out cause otherwise they look happy and I'm thinking you fix the def you'll fix the twisting too.

Looks to me like iron or sulfur but it's possible it could be mag or zinc too, take a look at the pics at

Once you figure out what the nute def is you need to figure out the cause. Don't just assume you just need to give it X to fix the problem. Check your Ph and make sure the def isn't being cause by too much of something else.

I have a problem with twisting leaves as well, not sure why, its only 2-3 leaves on the certain plants, and they r always high up on the plant. Any suggestions would be awesome.

NO I am not colorblind INSULTS HELP NOBODY SO PLEASE HOLD YOUR TONGUE PEOPLE ARE LEARNING.They are "Very Dark Green" the photos were taken under Red 2700k Lamps so that is why they appear yellow. The twisting has gone away since I pruned a few leaves off I believe they were twisting to find light since they are so bushy the female has 12 budsites male about the same hopefully the branching and early flowering is passed on to the seeds.THANKS FOR THE IDEA MR. GREENGENES.

It wasn't an insult man look at those pics. Can you honestly say you'd expect someone to assume the coloring in those pics to be a lighting trick without you mentioning it? I mean sure I'm a smart-ass but that was an honest question, look at those pics.

Clearly those pics look like there is a color(nute) problem with the plants. I'm not there so if you say they are all the lush green we see sparsely throughout the pics that's awesome. I said they look happy otherwise and they do, they look great. Best of luck with them.

As far as learning...there are things to be learned in this thread but you're too pissed off that I poked a little fun at you to see them. Good luck with that.
