Two lights to choose from

very nice, rep indeed but why waste so much time and effort in a dead thread?

Growing is not totally inexpensive. You get out of your grow what you put into it. Anywhere that you take shortcuts to try to save money will cost you in the end in some way or another.

The idea is to create as optimal of conditions as is possible with a person’s budget and then pick the highest quality genetics that you can afford and then be satisfied with what you get.

You cannot have a poor setup and use quality genetics and end up with great results and you cannot use a great setup and then pick junk genetics and expect the setup to make up for what is lacking genetically.

If you go cheap do not expect fantastic results in either quality or yield.

I am not saying this is you but I just LOVE the kids I run across on sites like this that want to grow their own and they think their allowance will cover all their costs, or their burger flipping jobs will be enough to cover all their bills and leave enough left over to create optimal conditions.

Then they look into it and find that they really cannot afford half of what is really needed to have a decent or better setup and conditions so they hit the local Lowes or Home Depot or WalMart or whatever and load up on a bunch of penny ante nickel and dime stuff and slap together some Rub Goldberg setup and six months later they are then telling the new crop of noobs what is up and how to do things just like they did like they are Greenman or fucking Jorge Cervantes or someone.

I cannot help but laugh at them. They are funnier than the Marx Brothers or the Three Stooges.

I know this thread is helping me learn every step im writing em down. Its for newbs thats me

Here is a better idea, open a new text file or if you have it a new word document, then cut what you like and paste it in the text file and save. Then you have all the info nice and neat in one file and you can find it when you are looking for it. Saves alot of writing. Plus you can organize it in one big file or start a new file for each subject, the choice is yours. Also make a new folder to put it all in so it is easy to be found when you need it.

You are past the newb stage if you are actually going to do what you are reading instead of thinking about cheaper ways of doing what you are being told. Many people before you have tried the cheaper route only to come back and do things the right way unless they get frustrated and give up.

Thats how i started out =/ Was going for the cheap way of growing and quickly figured out that its just not gonna happen if i wanted anything worth the while. I went to home depot and bought some 26w cfl's (which im currently vegging some plants now) but i'm pickin up a 250w hps this week to start the flowering and also gonna pick up some lowryder g13 poison dwarf once i have the cash.

As much as you dont like hearing it as a noob, your gonna have to fork out some cash, and your gonna have to have a reasonable amount of space (usually, some have proved that wrong) to even bother with growing.

my two cents lol
