Two plants from one seed ?

Planted a perfectly normal looking seed and few days later two plants sprouted from the same jiffy pot. I have just potted them into a larger pot and tryed to seporate them but they are joined at the root base like conjoined twins.
Has enyone ever seen this befour and if so what can I expect to happen as they grow or is there enything I should do to them? Thanks in advance for advice and comments
Should also add one plant was quater the size of the other

Since one plant is weaker than the other I say cut the weak one

LOL yer pretty much one normal sized seedling with a litle one atached at root base growing out the side. Would love to post a pic but ive got no cam and not to computer savy
