You don't seem to understand though, that is a great reason. The fact that it will create jobs and tax revenue as well as reduce overcrowding in prisons, free up police officers, and reduce tax spending on enforcing marijuana is a wonderful reason. Your oversimplifying it just like Beck did. This is a tactic used to debate an issue and he is opposing legalizing marijuana. He is comparing marijuana to hardcore narcotics like heroine.

I don't believe he really thinks that way. I believe he is using negative propaganda and strait out lies to support his argument, which makes him worse than ignorant people saying the same thing.
