U.K. Power Q

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Hi guys I would have posted in the UK thread however I don't want it to be lost in the abyss of what seems to be a popular thread, I have a couple of questions which which would be great to receive some answers to

The first question is mainly power related. I plan to run a 20 Bucket RDwc under 4X 600 Hps bulbs ( although I would like more light) Additionally there will be fans, extractors, pumps and various other power consuming items. I have calculated that this will run at around £300-350 per month, in the UK average is around £50-£70. I am looking to pay energy costs as well as for ethical reasons I don't want to be in trouble when I move house. The flat I will be renting a will be a one or two bedroom. Does anyone run a similar set up home hasn't run into any problems. This Will be the bloom room. there will also be a similar size veg room which will also be deep water culture therefore there will be similar costs entailed. Also a nursery.

I plan to rent locally and live in it other than to return to my own flat to wash, wash clothes, eat etc before returning to the flat.

I do know A guy who knows a guy says he can fiddle my meter and when you are sent a letter for inspection you simply call the guy and he reports back that he checked the meter and it is kosher. however The guy I know is a shady character and I have no doubt that he has robbing me in mind

How do you guys work approach power issues with larger grows

Am I being paranoid or do they check excessive amounts of power used and that they are being ran at specific cycles. I have read that sometimes it can be triggered that excess power usage readings can be a fault with the meter so companies want to keep themselves right. I think this was US however.

I have grown, I pulled this one down and move it a week before I got robbed. I Tell people it's got a couple of weeks left anticipating it. I panicked when I got home and disposed of the mother and babies. , really nice old school AK. So I'm starting from seed. Any suggestions welcome on one of the newer high yielded sat or indica

I see that as very risky a 1 bed flat using that much juice, although the energy company may not be bothered as you are paying your bill on time and in full bet they will get suspicious sooner or later someone will come knocking your going to stand out like a saw thumb I know this because my mate had a similar setup and was exposed to the council through his energy supplier been suspicious of his usage and when they've called round no one was there they then asked the court for a warrant to force entry that comes with police obviously etc... He got 5 years he's out now and just has a small grow in his house. Morrel of the story DONT GET GREEDY SON !

If your set on it maybe look into getting a lock up somewhere your energy bill will go through the site and be less suspicious I also know of people doing this with no problem not for me to much risk haha good luck mate

Yeah I think you're right, I had a mate who rented a lock up and the guy who he rented it from just decided that he'd take a look at it one day at his stuff. Found his grow, mate got an answerphone message "I need to speak to you bout your....dog". Started demanding more money. But my mate was just gardening but with the lease under his name for some heavy guys, so long story short that did't end well. Thanks for reply kinda confirms what I was thinking. MO money MO problems. back to the drawing board

I'd be paying my bill just as everyone else does

with smart meter tech ..u will be screwed very quick

look towards reducing ur elec bill

using cheaper smaller lights in early and mid veg

the uk has changed a lot since I was last there

and as you have made the commitment to do this serious crime in the uk

I hope you are prepped for the consequences like have a lawyer on retainer

telling blatant lies to friends and family, maybe have to kill someone in the next 2-3 years

and naturally risk being killed yourself

you can save on all this by simply relocating to Spain or Portugal

like many of my uk buddies

with law, climate, and cash on your side life is good down here
