Hey guys and gals,
Just a quick question, I have a friend who is over in the states at the moment.
He was trying to send me a couple of g's but was told when he went to post it that he was required to show id to send internationally. As you can imagine he wasn't to keen.
Any ideas?

No way around it. ID to send out of the country. Within the states I hollow out a jar of peanut butter and put the goods dead center to block the scent... All I can suggest is either your buddy be confident with his packageing or scrap the idea... Personaly I think theres way to much mail for them to fck with all of it...

hmm I really do find it hard to believe that every bit of mail from the states requires proof of id!! There must be an ingenius way around this....

Make an online UPS account - You can provide whatever info you care to. Print label and drop it off.

Gastanker are you sure this is possible from the states? I'd imagine they would need to confirm details or something?

No problem bro, I appreciate the help :)
I having a look at the online option with ups, the 1st issue I can see is that you require credit card details. No biggie if they just require numbers, but I'm not yet sure if they need a photocopy of passport or something similar to confirm account, hopefully not.
How exactly do these drop of boxes work? Do you literally just drop the package off somewhere or do you have to give it to give it to someone? Would they ask for id. to match up with card details?

They have literal boxes you drop the package into and then you can drop them off at the office/distribution point as well. If they see that there is a prepaid label on the package you literally just leave it on the counter and walk away. They don't check ID and generally pretend you don't even exist.

ups wants credit card info like you said, you could however go get a pre paid credit card !
