Hi guys, I know the technique is pretty straight forward and I know where to cut (or do I? See red marks on the attached pictures. My understanding was to cut above the 2nd real node, without counting the one with the cotyledons).
The problem I'm facing is that my plants had a pretty hard time during the solo cup phase, I still can't figure out why. Since they are in their 1ga fabric pots, things are way better. So the bottom leaves, especially on the 1st real node (the single leaves and cotyledons already dies off...), are damaged. Now, if I cut the plant down above the 2nd node (the plant is building the 6th node right now), I will be left with 1 pair of damaged leaves and 1 pair of good leaves. What is bizarre is that the 1st and 2nd real nodes are grown pretty tight together and then it seemed to stretch...
Also, one of my plants is growing lots of suckers which are already pretty big. I need advice here, what should I expect if I follow through with this method?
If you need more pictures, I'll be more than pleased to provide them.
Thanks a lot!
