Like I said before, the area is pretty much isolated. But 6 inch suckers are becoming infected so it is obviously systemic now.

QUESTION: What about watering\flushing with Neem oil and water

And for the record we've lost just 1 branch, and one little one of the side of a big one.

When you pull on the plant and make it flex it doesn't flex at the scar, its held firmly by a massive root system.

This plant is over 4 months old, it has a fighting chance from what I have read. Young plants die fairly fast.

Neem is a contact killer. so I dont think it would do much good systemically. There are some fungicides that work systemically but I would not use them on something I may later smoke. I think just keep being diligent in what your doing...........

Glad to hear you saved her she looks great itd be a shame to see her go.

so far so good. No new rot. Still taking lots of water and nutes being absorbed

So the one pic shows one the first kush to be afflicted with the fungus. We left that branch that you now see is cut off, fully intact but wilted for over a week until it looked suspect and might mold and then cut in in half. the plant really did this on its own, cutting the toxins off from the plant.. fucking fantastic. that one did not need neem oil, although we add it now.


The one with the healed half dead branch is the biggest one. Its at least a foot bigger all around and drinks a lot more than its sisters. It is also a week later on flowering, it hasn't formed those nice obvious flowers, although it had many many hairs all up the stems, just no cluster yet like the other two
The other is the purple people eater in the wind. Lots of new flowers this week on her.

one of the afflicted plants is not taking up all that much water, the fucking pot feels like it has lead in it. It is yellowing a fair bit on on more branch that comes from the infected area at the bottom.

90% of it is green and looks great, I will keep you posted.

I did finally trim that bushy bitch of needless leaves, and suckers and extra flower sites. I know .... don't cut off flowers right? I figure more energy for the better sites.
This one plant has had it rough. It was found a good inch or more below the surface day later than it should of been up out of the soil. We saved it and called it gimpy. She did well, untill this fungus got in her. Aww well, we'll see. We have 6 others

all doing well, thankfully. Unfortunatly it was quite windy last night and the big indica fell over and tore some of the branch from its socket. It was not completly torn so I tied it back, basically grafted it nad went back to bed. It looks as good as new this morning. feeeeeeeeew! these plants sure are hardy

Saw some mold today, but fought it off jsut as before. I have a feeling these dew filled mornings are going to be like an army of muthatruckers to deal with. The fungus goes crazy as it is spread through water.

I posted about yellowing today, have look, I can't decide if they are failing or if they are just heading to death with the approaching fall around the corner? They are no where close to dead, so if you think they are dieing, I m not sure I agree.

Here is the lastest pic of gimpy. (he's been called gimpy since he was found submerged in the soil as a seeding. Too bad so sad. I hope the main cola survives.
SO. DO we leave the branches and let the plant deal witht them, or cut off all the leaves and flowers and leave the branches. Or , cut the branches off now and dry them the nmake some hash.

The weather is goign to be rain for the next 5 days at least here on the island.I had the same thing happen to me.My problem I believe was caused by,me putting the plants in a small shed and closing the door at night to prevent mildew in the morning and therefore prevent the budrot. I too picked off only the most yellow of leaves that would come off with a light pull.

In doing so i created the perfect environment for this type of mold.High humidity in a closed shed with no windows and ,poor aircirculation.I learn every year something new.Lesson learned.It only happend on one plant on a main branch but not the main stalk. I cleaned it off with baking soda and water as per a few sites as a quick home remedy. It happend to me this past sunday.It hasn`t spread or come back and looks exactly like your first photo nanaimo.I have been monitoring closely so far so good.I have almost considered cutting off the problem.I think I will wait and see how it turns out.Unless someone has a suggestion to cut it off!

I used alcohol on the area. The branch closest to the area will die eventually, you can wait it out if you want.

We cut off 3 branches yesterday, it was pretty obviious they were limp and dead anyway.

It looks like the rest of the plant will be gone within a week or so. Its not a total waste, it has crystals and is sticky. At the very least it will be a good hash making plant.

It will yellow a lot then begin to limp once you remove all the big yellow leaves.

Once the smaller bud leaves begin turning yellow you dont haev much time left on the branch, maybe a day or two

I think the direct light on the problem should seal the deal uv light will kill the mold dead

The purple People eater is a frosty girl. and the smell..... whoa! all I gotta say is that it is pungent.

Its gotta be the nutes, because all the plants smell the same, even though they are different strains.

I can't describe the smell, its not your typical chronic smell, its thick and like nothing I've ever smelt before. It smells dank.

the sun did work great for a few weeks, but now that it is not as intense and the morning s are cold, like 7- 10 degrees right now and foggy. Its an up hill battle.

We're just going to try to keep her dry and hopefully bring her to harvest on time, not 2 weeks early

so i used some vaseline and salt and have not seen a new breakout yet. hell ya

I cut my branch off, It wasnt getting worse but I did it on the advice of the local hydro shop.The rest of the plant and the other one have been fine.No signs since the first and only infection.Glad your doing well Nanaimosco! good to hear.Damn rain, I have been keeping them in the sunroom between 2 open doors for airflow.Im guessing Ill cut em down in the next week or 2.

The vaseline worked quite well. The spores were barely evident, the vaseline works way better than neem oil when trying to slow the fungus
