UK clon only strains, UK bred strains

does look good, don't see much purple traits in it, or is that just a temperature thing when they start going black and purple? either way it looks yummy, whats the smoke like?. i'll post some pics of my new hybrid cheese when its ready. what do i call it? cheesexcheese? exoduscheesexafghanixexoduscheese i think would be the real name

the strain deep purple was named after the band rather than the colour, smoke on the water an that lol. grilled cheese lol

fair enough, proper hippy stuff then, haha. still a long way off creating a masterpiece yet as i dont have any m seeds.........

i know this is an old thread. was just wondering if anyone (uk based) has been able to get hold of the pr1 cutting, smoked it about 15 years ago, was my fav, heard that the original mother/clones died (hoping this is just a rumour). was there ever anyy seeds derived from this stinky bitch? if so where ? great thread, oldie but a goodie

hey guys i'm still subbed and watching along

@cocoxxx i was given seeds from an old grower he said everyone down here called the strain prize but it's pr(i)(1)??? he gave them to me as he can't grow any more and didn't want them to go un grown, apparently it was raved about down here but i never heard of it, i haven't germd them yet because of the pheno hunt. i've been looking for info on it and haven't found anything so i just put it down to an old growers favourite smoke being passed on and labeled in the hope he'll get a supplier for it again lol i was warned to put them in the fridge or freezer for a few hours before cracking them and to be patient as they'r old, i'd be interested he hear any input any one has on the strain just incase they are the same thing?

your a lucky man dragon. ive heard seeds are viable for 5 years plus. ive personally germinated seed stock at 2 years and had no problems what so ever. so prize is pr1 ? can start googling prize now instead of pr1. ive never grown it, but god did i enjoy smoking it, i like e cheese, but in my opinion pr1 rapes it, taste, high everything. good luck with those beans, will be interested to see how theyturn out!

i'm gonna go and knock his door 2mo and ask him for some details, i was in a rush when he give them to me and he had people their so i didn't want to be talking with people around but they been plaguing me since i've had them as i can't find any info on them i'm not very computer savy so it doesn't mean it's not out there just that i'm a little on the thick side and can't find it lol he assured me they worth growing out, his words were trust me....... you want to grow them out and clone everything you won't find these at any seed banks! all i want is some of the finished product. i was like happy days and off out the door before his misses come back into view and started chatting again lol i'll come back here and post up the details of our chat 2mo and let you know if they are the pr? mate

hey guys i managed to speak to him on the phone, i didn't get much info out of him as he is extremely paranoid about talking over the phone and was in work at the time but i did get a little info it is the pr1 cut crossed with northern lights, it was crossed by him not long before he got busted and luckily his brother was holding the seeds for him so that they weren't in the same place as his plants. other than that all he had to say was that if i'm not gonna grow them he wants them back and also the paper they were in says pr1 x NL i checked and it does clearly state what they are so i feel a bit dull for asking him now lol also the name prize was a local name for it he said it travelled far and wide but was prob re named or kept it's original name? so i don't really know what to say about the seeds lads as i don't know the lineage of them or what was involved in his breeding and trying to get that info out of him seems like a bit of a no no on the phone and i don't want to get on his bad side as he's a bit of a fella (old school) if ya know what i mean? one thing does have me thinking though he said remember they're old stock put them in the freezer or fridge for a day before you start them??? i've never heard of this, is it just something you do with old seeds? i just chuck mine in a small plastic food container with room temp water that was poured the night before, any info on this lads as i'll get them going in the next few weeks after our next inspection and don't want to balls them up freezing them

it's alright mate don't go hunting on my behalf i'll stick to the way i'm doing it now so far 100% for germing this way, i know my luck i'll throw them in the fridge and it'll all go pete tong lol
