RSO - 100 proof or higher alcohol for a solvent, dry and break up bud, soak 5-10 minutes, strain/squeeze/dispose of remains, put solvent mix into rice cooker or over digital hot plate in open area - like outdoors on a back porch the fumes are horrible. Every so often add a few drops of water to help keep molecules moving around. Don't let it burn or get to hot as it get to the bottom where your oil will be. Once proper consistency suck into syringes and store in cool dry place.
When I start someone on a regimen I start with 1 grain of rice sized portion, either in a cookie or behind the teeth, cold water will help solidify it in your mouth swallow DO NOT CHEW. That would be for one week time, then up the dosage the next week to 2 grains of rice, by week 4 they should be at about a dime size dose, by week 6 back it down and week 8 all done.
First timers will find it a strong buzz and may sleep for 12 hrs after. Moderate tokers will notice it after the 3 grain dose.
Infused Coconut Oil - Organic Coconut Oil (enough to cover the material only) dry and break up bud, put in crock pot on High, cover with coconut oil, set timer for 2 hrs, if oil starts boiling turn down to low, should be a slow simmer, after 2 hrs strain with cheese cloth but do not squeeze - you may get flake or a chunk in the oil. Pour into final container and scrap pot clean.
Infused coconut oil can be used to replace the oil in any and all recipes, from baked good to stir fry dinner.
Muffins recommended for beginners to start with a half a muffin and go from there. (infused oil)
I make brownies out of infused oil infused with RSO for my patients and myself - they are very strong, strength depends on how much RSO added into the infused oil. Also you have to double boil the infused oil and add the RSO then mix well for 15 minutes over medium heat, let cool so it doesn't cook the eggs and put into the brownies and mix up, some vanilla extract and extra chocolate chips will cover some RSO flavor.
Cannabutter - For me it is too flowery tasting so I don't make it anymore but its easy too.
Boil 1 gallon water, turn down to simmer, add 1lb butter and 1 OZ dry and broken up bud, simmer up to 2 hrs, take off heat, cool in fridge, peel off cannabutter when cold, store in fridge, use within a week. MD
