"ULTIMATE GROW ROOM" What is the best lighting setup???

I looking to get some opinions on the absolute best lighting setup for a grow room in general, regardless of size is it best to have MH in veg than HPS and MH for flowering.....and are there any real benefits to incorporate CFL????

(More or less looking at a spectrum point of view)

you should go get the growers bible from mr cerventes at amazon or a local bookstore, everything you need in there. if your lookin for a dope ass room I'd go with 3 600 w. two hps and one mh. the three 600s give more angles of light to your plants and they give off less heat then a 1000w so you can have them closer to your babies. also the lumens per watt ratio is a little higher with the 600s. and the mh for veg and both for flower is right. think about mother nature. light in the srping time is a different color then it is in the fall. the kelvin temp is diff. a daylight metal halide has a kelvin temp of 6500 which is in the blue end of the spectrum and a hps has kelvin temp of 2200 or something like that which is more orange and red light. hortilux also makes a bulb that has both spectrums in them. I have never used them because there like 200 bucks a piece, but if you got the money then why not.

Awesome, very informative bro! only thing is i've got tons of 400w HPS and a 600w. I'll go buy some more MH. so im trying to incorporate what i have, i just gotta figure out how to get that light evenly with diff wattages and light reflectors. in thinking light mover

with tons of 4's and 6's i would hang them all bare bulb inbetween the plants, say if you have 6 lights you could space them out and have 10-12 plants all getting 800-1000 watts of light from the side meaning maximum buds from top to bottom. you should look into vertical growing. if you have the space and lighting it can really produce very well

yeah i thought about that, however im workin with a 3x3 flood table right now, so im not real sure how practical i could make it, i do have a big enough room tho

Have you considered using a conversion bulb for your 600 watt ballast? I recently switched to one, and I am seeing some great results. You can research some of the various brands, but the one I'm using has a nice full spectrum to it, and kind of creates a situation where you're getting the benefits of both hps and mh light spectrums out of one bulb.
