Well I went to the grow shop today and they educated me. Ended up with a 435 CFM Dura-Fan, much like that Hurricane you linked. I'll throw it up on the roof port with a connector port thing to attach to one end of the predator. He said to open the vents on the bottom of the tent and that I probably won't even need that little 4' fan after this. I just hope it isn't too loud. Also got a clip fan for inside circulation. About to hook it all up now...

a 15 dollar fan speed controller: http://www.horticulturesource.com/product_info.php?products_id=16884

and wrap your fan in a towel if you don't want to spend more to insulate the sound. You could also just cut holes in a cardboard box and shove your fan and tubing in there with some crumpled newspaper, I have done this in the past and it works quite well.

I don't have personal experience with the Hurricane, I use the Hydrofarm green fans, and mine works quite well. Im fairly certain Hurricane is of a general higher quality than hydrofarm though.

I have not played with ducting dampers as I really don't need them, Im only moving about 350CFM and my setup can barely be heard through the door. Ducting dampers would be for a CO2 supplement room where things would have to be almost air-tight, or rooms that are having a problem with noise or light pollution.
