Hello. New here so if this has already been addressed i apologize. But i am growing a small 8 plants. Using dwc. Been doing it this way for years. Humidity is were its supposed to be, water temp, nutes, the whole 9. The problem im having now is on one plant, and only one plant, the top layer of hydro stones has this mold like, salt like build up. It does not seem to be affecting my plants growth, but im just not sure what it is, or what the next step is if it is harmful. Do i leave it because it does not seem to be bothering my plant, or does it need to go one way or another. I will provide pics. Any help is appreciated. Also. Having a little trouble with brown roots. Using aqua shield in the past seems to help a great deal, and also my buckets are cleaned weekly. Does aqua shield expire??? It doesn't seem as effective as it has been in the past. My new growth looks fine. Just the older roots seem to be getting a little worse instead of better. I want to nip it in the bud before it becomes a major problem. But once again, it doesn't seem to be effecting my growth. Im anywere between 2 weeks of veg to about a month into veg. I started different strains at different times due to things that were out of my control. Thanks in advance guys n girls

Did you happen to top-water with a nutrient solution prior to filling your buckets and bubbling? I know some people who top water in the seedling stages as the transplant from the original medium sometimes causes shock. I know this probably isn't the issue, but just trying to help you troubleshoot.

Yes i did actually. The same nutes i used in the buckets. I would use a dripper and use some of the bucket solution to water the plug in the seedling stage. But never anywhere but the plug so i dont see it reaching all the way to the edge of the net pots. The plug itself has no signgs of whateverthis stuff is on it at all.
