un budgetted grow, SOG STYLE, ideas needed...

hello, i have had a few successful grows and am now aiming to expand on my yeilds. i have purchased 2 air cooled 1000w dual spectrums and a 12 inch inline extractor fan along with a 240cm x 240cm x (200cm height) tent. i am abke to use my 600w lights aswell in a week as i am at harvest point on an existing grow. im not interested in scrog no offence to scroggers just the veg times are not to my liking. i dont know how many plants would be best to sog in this space please through ideas at me, funds for this arnt a problem. hope you enjoy my thread everyone and once i start planting il put pics up.

Are you doing soil or hydro? If ou want a bunch of lollipop buds you can pack them right next to each other veg for maybe 10 days and flip. It also depends on veg time. The longer you veg and lst for an even canopy the less plants you should have. In an 8x8 tent I have 64 in a aero/nft set up. I topped and vegged a bit more than you probably would but I have a solid canopy after my stretch.

im going for soil, id like low maintenance on this sog so pretty much just after top buds. i have various other grows at the same time thats why my attention is limited. is 60 in soil a good way to go then? and what strain do sog growers prefer? im thinking that 3200w lights will be in there but i need to figure the tent roof supports as have only realise how week they are and how heavy my hoods are. i want about 1kg first time in this tent and think its probable easily as i get good yeilds already, anyone with suggestions to get more than a 1kg will be appreciated. kingstonr how do u lollipop 64 plants man? thats some commitment that i take my hat off too. anyway im sure u can tell yeild is key here so as we are all learning id like to hear ur views. bless all.

Using Al's methods except your using soil which would work to.

Haha it was a lot of work for sure. Solid link from *buds. For a sog Id say go for a nice tight indica dominant strain but it has a lot to do with what's available to you. Also for amount of plants, if your doing a sort veg you can pack the pots right up against each other

guys thats more info than i could have wished for, thank you buds the thread u said to read is exactly what im looking for, and yea yea im kingstonr im definately going to pack them tight together, i was thinking 100 small plants instead of 64 as they will fit with no vegging. anyway stay tuned guys as im going to throw some pics up soon of my other grows and of this when i start. peace all

in that area you can have a lot of plants using SoG style.
basicly you could get 16x16 rows of plants in there(3.6L pots). with a strain that takes 8 weeks to finish you would be able to harvest 32 plants per week or you could set up multiple rows and harvest 64 plants every 2 weeks and so on.

I think you could need a bit more light then 2000w. put in another 600w or so, SoG areas need lots of light. lightmovers might also be a option for you since you have a badass area. hope this helps

yes that is what ive been investigating light movers i mean, just thought with air cooled hoods and all its ducting itl be a nightmare. well i found a way to sort my tent roof supports out, i cut a hole in th top and put jack chains around the roof support and then threw the hole and then attached them to a hook thats on a beam in the house, its very strong now and also looks profesional. im still unsure how many plants to put in this area as yeild is optimum here and pot size and other factors all make a difference. i cant run to much more electrical equipment as it will cause unwanted attention i feel. i am using a 120cm x 120cm x 200 cm tent for the mother plants currently, the mothers are white widow, big budah cheese and crystal silver haze 4of each. theyre only 14 inch tall now and as im going to need 30 -50 clones every two weeks from them i think i should grow them bigger. im not used to continually cloning but think it will be easy enough with my current knolledge. i have been given a ten inch acoustic etaline fan which was off an amazing friend . he said the air it can pull is astonishing. i will have carbon filter then air cooled hoods then fan then exhausted. any way guys please keep helping and thanks to all ideas so far.

http://www.greenshorticulture.co.uk/categories/Pots-&-Trays/Tray-&-Pot-Combo's/1m-Square-Tray-&-Square-Pot-Combo's/ thats the pot trays that i was thinking, fouer of those trays in flower so 100 plants flowering at one time 20 of which get harvested every two weeks, just pot trays will make manouverability easier and water/feeding. 25 clones flowerd for 8 weeks no veg wont yeild alot in only 3.5l pots im thinking, makes me feel space is too small already lol if only i grew hydro but im sticking to soil. peace

do you have secret jardin tent? they come with a extra waterproof undermat so you wont need those .

i do have a jardin, i know its waterproof but moving plants around in a tent could get tiresome when dealing with maybe 196 pots. ive decided to get 4.5l extra deep pot x 196, so for all 2 weekly stages of flower will be 49, i guess harvesting 49 plants in 4.5L pots every two weeks should be a ok yeilder. anyone know what average yeild of an un vegged clone after 8 weeks under 2 x 1000w is? strain white widow. this grow has had alot of planning and i am impressed at how simple it is when not rushed.

I was under the impression that you should aim for a stretching sativa and you should be rolling clones 12/12 from jump to limit veg time and focus on flower. Then if you have a big budder you can still pull it at 8 weeks. Thats my dream.....12-14 in solid single colas from plastic to light.

its a nice dream, i am going for different strains to what i currently have on hand and will grow the mothers from seed. ive been advised to use attitude seeds. well i aim to have upto 12 mums so thought id throw myself in the deep end and have all different strains. indica dominant is all i want as 8 weeks is my flower cycle for this tent and no longer. g13 and vanilla kush i like the sounds of also red dragon and violator kush other than that i cant decide lol to many strains to choose.

Ive seen an awesome run of s.a.g.e. on a 8 week cycle. and the buds looked 2.5 ounces easy. I believe its sativa dominant, but hydro allows the plant to mature faster. Only three days veg.

Since you have all those strains, perpetual will be perfect. New strain in and out every two weeks. Also make it easier and faster to dial in which phenoes you wish to keep rolling.
