uncontrollable ph

I do strongly suggest a meter. Be careful, i thought i damaged mine. they do need to be taken care. if my plants required me to read a strip they would have died a long time ago. Those are hard to read.

What type of PH up/down products are you using??? I have heard several people claim the same thing when using GENERAL HYDROPONICS PH UP/DOWN . I use Europonics and have heard great results with Advanced Nutrients up/down. FOr some reason the Gen Hydro stuff doesnt stabilize as fast

I bought some distilled water and went I put it in a cup and tested it with my pH meter it said it was 7.0? what can I use to bring it down? I dont have any grow shops close by its like 2 hrs away. I have wal mart, lowes.

lol theres a lot more than I thought. I was just reading your threads on your other grows. you and another guy from missouri to. I live about an hour south from STL. :) I have to drive all the way up to Olive to worms way just to get stuff!! its insane.

i dont know how the lemon juice and so forth will affect your plants but even per smart has ph adjuster for fish. I us stuff from Stealth hydro.com.

thanks that helps a lot. so what he did is test the top of it. dont u need to go all the way down or does that really matter?

im using an air stone in my 18 gal reservoir so as long as my water is stirred up really good then i can test anyplace i want (im assuming)

well I was just using distilled water from wal mart when I tested it with my ph tester it said 7.0 and to soak my rockwool cubes I need 5.5ph. so I would make it in those gallon jugs of water
