and i dont see it as an insult if you really thought about this could benefit someone seriously...and i may not have all funds or plans to complete a project of this magnitude yet but beleive me wen i tell you i do have the resources!!! i may help you someday or someone you know and love with my organic solar/ wind turbine powered enviormental ffriendly grow room...so don't think for once that this is a fly by night thread the right input cud lead to GREAT results and you offer me niether..so whut was your purpose???

Dig a large hole... build a brick room halfway up the walls. make sure you add all your air intakes and outtakes and make a shaft/stairway to the top off to the side.

now put a pool over your room. and build a shed for "storage" over the shaft/stairway.

voila!

somebody feelin me..now that input..pleez tell ppl its really not that dumb of an idea. that sounds even better..i gotta nice size yard and an empty shed..thats quite possible..so you sayin i cud split the pool horizontaly in half swimmin on top and growin down low???!!the pool wud be shallow but who gives a fuk..now thas a lil more my speed..

Okay, so I am going to go with this one a little. My mother told me that when she was a kid around Houston, there was a pool with a clear room at the bottom. She said that there was a pump that went to the area to keep fresh air. Stick with me. So you get a Plexiglas dome. Like from a sky lite or something. You reinforce the edges and put chains on the corners. You get some really heavy shit, like 4 tires full of cement for each corner and you sink that mother fucker. You get rad temp control. What you do next is put a screen in the dome and make a fucking giant DWC underwater dome. You just hook up some bubbles under it. This will keep the roots fresh and fresh air pushing through. You could then A.) Keep it close to the surface or B.) Get a waterproof liquid cool tube thing or something. I am as high as you. See image below.

:hug:way ta open your mind..you even drew a sketch..the dome idea is sweet..dwc bubble ponics idk??? im basicly tryna do climate control room under water as clean and free as possible..im feelin the dome all the way..if i was to do it like that i would secure it first tho then fill with water..all pump and intake outake and wireing for turbines in place..ima go getta blunt and put a sketch up...brb..=rep IC now you thinkin...:eyesmoke::clap:

My X wife and I used to talk about doing this all the time when we stood out in the driveway lookin at the stars....

i got the idea way back when after watching Star Trek 4 "the voyage home"... where they have to build a whale tank on a warbird, so they could return extinct whales from our present back to thier future.

THEY USED PLEXIGLASS !!!!

I would make mine either a Cube... or maybe even a dodecahedron.

what you would need to do is figure out how much water per square MM or inch or whatever...that will tell you how thick the plexiglass has to be.

and I think it would be stronger and cheaper if it where a Dodecahedron.

just google plexiglass....

dig out your pond .... set it where you want it... run 440 if possible. run HVAC.

now... i send you to the MOVIE.... The Abyss (1989)

so basically, the bottom square on the dodecohedron has a tube like setup where you can craw down up and over .... or something... that way , the only way you could enter is by entering the water... less chance of it ever being found...

or you could make a plat form that lifts up out of the water.... like jets being lifted up out of a " aircraft carrier " .

If your going to do this on your property.... the first thing you need to do is find out how deep your water table is....

your best bet would be if it is really deep....like 50 ft. or more. other wise your going to have to drop shit into the water assembled... that will be nothing but trouble.

I would suggest sound proofing it on the outside instead of the inside... its not like anyone is going to see it... so it doesnt have to be pretty.

the water might absorb some sound... but while your at it... you might as well do it right... hate to have THE MAN come stand by the water and hear fans running.

now thas INPUt!! im taken notes...now wen you say sound proof are you sayin the actual under water room or the spot wer i plan on run al my air and shit from..thats the thing wer would i get my oxygen in take.well i know but how at a pond.. this is a breif sketch of the pond

i knew a guy once who lived ona huge chunk of land, dug out a hole for the swimming pool but secretly built a very very efficient grow op, he actually managed to build around an old tractor trailer, put his pool on top and had a self heating pool using the exhaust off his 4 -1000w lights, worked out perfectly till his neighbour fuckin chewed him out to the fuckin PO. but he also had a small tunnel that ran under some land big enough to drive a transport truck down there to pick up his portable grow op. i know this sounds like crazy but hey this guy wants to grow under water so i say all the fuckin power to you bro, anything is possible with a few blunts, couple bong tokes and just some heavy thinking. keep it up man +rep totally!

well, personally if i was doing this in the woods.... i would just run vetilation a few hundred yards away from ground zero. if you really want to get artsy fartsy... you could run it up inside a fake tree. They have been installing fake trees all over the World for those cell phone towers... they look like trees but infact are actually cell phone towers.

i dont want to say where exactly just in case...but when i was in the military .... there was a specific base that had a swimming pool.... and beleive it or not the pump house was underneath the pool.... i dont know if this is a normal type thing or not... but i was blown away when i first went down there exploring. It was so fricken big down there i couldnt beleive it... it was almost as if they planned on using it as a shelter.... because the pump barely took up a 1/100th of the space .

when i say sound proof.... i mean the structure under water/ground. because thats most likely where your fans are going to be .... the actuall ehaust/ intake points should merely be moving air ..... and that shouldnt be that loud... considering these vetilation ducts are probably going to be pretty large.... say 6inches or better....

your plans are interesting...i would never of thought of building a structure on the water .... BUT.... that reminds me of what ancient astronomers used to use in MAYA..... the MAYAN astronomers would build Pools with a walking dock of somesort out to the middle.... so they could observe the stars reflecting in the water.....

i cant remember what they are called.... but you could always say thats what it is for.

i was thinkn last night the pool is no good for my idea..not completely out tho...in if i could leak proof a pre build structure and tske it into a pre dug whole and run my air and electri wirin up to the floatin building on surface i could possibley cut corners on costs of building and ad solar panels for power. plumbing would be a breeze for obvious reason...(UNDERWATER) the water would be good to use for feeding and makein fert tea for plants....talk about a big money saver and stealth..thanx for imput yall...keep it comen...i also look into bomb shelter maken(nite) good stuff...only nothing was said about under water..but it did make me wonder how sufficient this structure would be in fall out or survival situaions??? any thoughts...
