Undercurrent CCH20 DIY (Current Culture)

Look up heizenbergs tea. I never even posted in that thread to thank him. Too many others already had.

Pretty much you put SO MUCH beneficial bacteria in the water that it really doesn't matter. Light creates bacteria. I call it food for the tea lol.

I started wrapping them in Mylar but that picture is from the other side of the system. I'm in a constant state of change adapting 3 brand new grow rooms at the same time.

good shit... I went through his thread and read all his posts; took me like a month. I have been running just Aquashield lately, but I got new buckets and haven't insulated them so my temps are hitting 74* and I've been having some ph drop... so just brewed up a couple gallons r/o tea with mycogrow soluble and alaskan ancient forest humus and a dash of blackstrapped. Brewed for 48 hours and did res change switch to bloom nutes... also added 20ml aquashield to the buckets for more diversity and because I have a half gallon left.

I wrap my buckets with 3 layers of silver bubble wrap from home depot for light proof + insulation. I was going to wrap the undercurrent system up with it too... buckets and piping... and a 30 gallon coleman cooler for a res. I would never try it, but yea... Heisenberg at one point was leaving his res wide open to light and shit with no problems at low - mid 70s.

Do you filter the tea through a stocking or something or just dump it in there with mushy chunks?

I love coolers.

Those look like they must be trees. I like the air line and grommets in the side of the buckets. Any idea of your liter/per minute of air to gallons of system. Looks healthy. Are you using GH Nutes, what is your feeding routine like? Plus rep for the DIY.

Yeah I started this system with two - 80 watt pumps.

It now has 2 - 110 LPM pumps on it. It's about 60 gallons of water, and I've been using FloraDuo Expert recirculating (To a T with essentially no issues after the initial 4-week recovery from sulfur burn caused by dealing with powder mildew)

The tea went through a sock - there was still some gunk in the system but the filters on the ball valves took care of that fairly easily (Except the one filter that was ripped by the massive 1800 GPH pump).

They now have.... 5 - 600w and 3 - 400w lights on 6 plants lol.

Plus the flood table and soil plants upstairs (1 - 1000w over 6 bushes; 1 - 1000w over 15-18 (Who even knows when you have this many lol) SOG-ish little bushes and 1 - 600w vert around like 15-18 little SOG-ish bushes plants in soil circled around). The 1000w'ers are run in line with each other through Magnum or Raptor style/sized hoods with a water chiller on a 25 gallon reservoir with an 8" Icebox heat exchanger.

Essentially...I learned to use an aero cloner and had way too many fuckin plants to know what to do with. I made shit fit.

Also; I'm legal.

I'm glad I saw this thread. I've been looking for bigger buckets. A little pricey but youre right on what you pay for. I had to replace 3 buckets trying to shove the pvc through those uni seal. I didn't find it necessary to use 3 inch pvc. I went with 1.5 inch and no problems. I'm currently using 5 gal buckets in a 16 site RDWc. I would love to see pics of the your system.
