Understanding feed schedule

Hi.
If nute scheme says 0.8 ec nutes, does this mean, if tap water is 0.4, a total of 1.2 (0.4+0.8 or does this mean a total of 0.8 (0.4 tap water+ 0.4 nutes)?

No, from what I've read the above is wrong. You must count the EC of your tap water. So you'd go with 0.4 tap water, 0.4 nutes.

As elgaucho said. Those EC in the chart are total. It's always better using RO water. And total EC you need to use always depends on growing conditions.

Unless you have extremely high ec from the tap I've always read you don't count the tap ec. If you have extremely high from the tap you really shouldn't be using it. Is 200ppm high, I only have 90ppm in my tap, not sure about this specific aspect.

You have no clue what's in your tap, it's different for everyone, and it's not always good. If you count the tap ec there is a good chance of finding yourself with a deficiency later.

Forget whatever your tap has in it unless its like 250ppm, in which case use RO.
