hey skunk if you remember me say was going to use 8 cfls! well i only used 6.
4 at 24w and 2 at 20w there all cool white it jus the flash ov the cam that gives it a yellowy glow, the 24ws are at 1500 lum and the 20ws at 1200!
was thinking bout moving it to my new space with 400 grolux lamp not yet!
Hey zed'... if I were you I'd get it under the 400w now. You'll be amazed at the growth rate difference.
You probably already know that the best method to judge how far to have your light is by placing your hand above the tops of the plants. Hold your hand there for a minute. if it's uncomfortable for your hand, then it will be for the plants too.
thanks i was thinking bout it but i want to just put the one plant in there,
and got a feeling its goin to be a bit chilly when the lights go out esplly with the temps we`ve been having. i might just get a tube heater to keep out the chill. the light could be about 12 to 14in away.
We're not too far from each other so i imagine we get the same weather. I flower in the loft and I don't use any heaters during the night.
Heat and wet with no light to help it get processed will lead to damp.
Even now during the winter, I have no heaters up there and i have two big fans on full blast 24/0.
alsoyou'll be surprised at howmuch electric heaters will burn. They'll take much more than your lights. One 2.4 KW fan heater (pretty standard) will burn eqivalent electric to 4 600W HID lamps.
You might as well buy 3 600w HID's and think of the money you're going to be saving.
what say is right, if i add a heater the humidity will rise and during flowering u want it to drop dnt you? the heater i was thinking bout getting is only 20w
