This is why we need to stop telling school children that all drugs are bad and should not be touched ever. Then kids who thought that realize that some drugs aren't bad and assume they were lied to about everything. This causes people to not understand and research the risks involved with some drugs. We need to teach kids that some drugs are good some are bad, some people like some drugs that other people dont. We need to teach kids the risks involved. This must be done bluntly and with brutal honesty. We need to STOP telling kids that marijuana is a gateway drug, this just reinforces negative behavior after many kids try weed their first time. They end up convinced that since they got high once they must look for another fix, whatever it may be. This leads to addiction and subsquently overdoses. The world needs to get its head on strait and come up with a new way of defining drugs. Alcohol, Asprin and Marijuana are all drugs in their own right, but they all have drasticly different views coming from society. What I mean is when people say "Drugs are Bad" they really have no idea what they are saying. Mmmmk.
All I can say is I feel for ya on losing a friend, my sisters good friend overdosed on methadone after becoming addicted to heroin.
I hate the irony... people become addicted to opium, invent heroin. Addiction, invent morphine. Addiction, invent methadone. Stop trying to cure addiction with drugs. Seriously
Please people! Educate your kids, nieces, nephews.... Anyone on the real facts about drugs.
